Visited with my family recently. The building is under construction, so the tower was not on rotation. I wish we would have known that to make a better informed decision. I am glad they’re renovating the place, though. We did not have a reservation prior, and they were able to accommodate our party of 4 for lunch. Our server seated us and took our order promptly. My little shared the tenders and shrimp plate, because the coat of each child’s play is $14 and I knew they wouldn’t eat it all. It was 2 tenders and 2 coconut shrimp. We opted for the sweet potato fries for $1 more. The portion could have been larger. It was a scant handful of fries. My husband and I shared the burrata appetizer. The dish was very tasty, but the tomato’s were very soft and turned to mush quickly. The arugula was a nice touch but some was yellowing on top and there was an old wilted/dark green/slimy piece, but it was small enough to push over. I was just surprised to see that on our dish considering the cost of the dish. My husband had the Cobb salad for lunch. His salad looked nice and tasty. We were surprised to see the avocado was brown in a few places. I had the lobster shrimp roll with sweet potato fries. There was lots of lobster claw meat and shrimp. For $27, I didn’t expect to see so much claw meat. The fries were the same scant handful of sweet potato fries. It would have been nice to see a more full pile of fries in both our dishes. Overall it was a good experience and the service was good. My kiddos love visiting and we will be back because of the experience of getting to look over San Antonio.

It was a total disaster! Our reservation was at 8:45, and we got seated after 40 min of waiting. The hostess was so rude! I asked how long it would take to get seated (because at that point we were thinking of going to some other place) She laughed in my face saying they are busy! I would understand if she had a bad day and she would be just rude, but that attitude left me speechless. There were no napkins on our table and it took 20 min to get them. The drinks were good. Appetizers, okay. Main course, another disaster. My lamb was first undercooked and then overcooked. The stake was raw, not medium. Extra star for the waiter trying to apologise and explain something that doesn't make sense. Honestly, I don't know how someone can recommend this place as an upscale restaurant. If you want a view go to the bar on the upper floor, save money, and have a great night!

We went for our 30th anniversary and it was horrible. We’ve been twice before and it was great but this time was completely different. The restaurant was filthy Every window had old food in the sill and the booth across from us was covered in food in the seats and the floor. The service was horrible. Took about 8 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us being there. The server came back to our table a total of 3 times our entire visit. I sat with an empty glass in my table for no less then 15 minutes during the meal. The steaks were dry and rubbery, potatoes dry and tasteless and the mushrooms tasted like dirt. They set a table of 8 with no reservations before they set us who had reservations. It was horrible and they still charged us $200. It was so bad I will never go again.

Horrible experience. Since being stationed in San Antonio, I’ve been wanting to try out this restaurant. My husband surprised me and brought me for Mother’s Day. We had reservations at 7:30. We ordered drinks and food. Our waiter Derik originally brought out the wrong drink and instead of trying to make it right, he said he’ll make sure to bring the correct drink the next time… So, I decided to try it anyway. I didn’t want to make a fuss. I ended up not liking the drink. He, brought the correct drink. We then ordered our meals. While waiting for our food, we order another drink and it took about 15 minutes to receive it. We had to constantly ask how long it would take. He kept saying it was coming. We watched everyone receive their drinks and their food. After about an hour… our food had still not been delivered. He told us that there was a wait on the lamb chops. So… we wait. Ordered another drink… took another 10 minutes. At this point, we have watched the people around us eat, drink and leave… and more people arrive and were seated. The manager finally comes around and apologized and offered free soup and told us she would take our food off of the bill. Our food FINALLY comes around or a little after 9pm. By now, the waiter probably came and checked once or twice and did not seem remorseful AT ALL. My steak finally came and was VERY pink, which is NOT what I ordered. He came back and brought the check with everything on it as if he and the manager did not discuss what she discussed with us. We wait maybe 10 more minutes and a DIFFERENT manager (Savannah) came after we had to ask him when the manager would come. She explains that when we return we would have a free appetizer and desert… We then asked why were we the ONLY people in our section that did not receive our food, seem to have horrible service and our food came out incorrectly? She then proceeded to say that she received word that they gave us the opportunity to correct our food and we declined.. Which was A LIE. I called the waiter over and he said that he NEVER told her that. At this point, we are PISSED because I feel like we were treated very poorly and accused of lying to possibly receive free food. She then offered half off of our meals the next time we dine in. We LEFT the food and paid for our drinks and walked out embarrassed and disappointed. We not only drove 45 minutes to the location, but we missed our movie that we paid for in advance. Thank you so much for a memorable Mother’s Day weekend. For reference, we had 7:30 reservations under Bobby. I would love to be told that ANY of this is a lie.

I’ve written 2 reviews of restaurants for what it’s worth. I brought my wife to the Chart House tonight for Mother’s Day. We both ordered steak, filet and strip. Both of the steaks were bland and over cooked (med rare). Ordered asparagus as well, it was raw. Other tables were presented with salt/pepper shakers, and bread, we didn’t receive anything. The plus side of the meal was that the drinks were good, hats off to the bartender. But the kitchen staff was either having an off night, or needs improvement. For a $300+ meal this was subpar. The views from the table were amazing, I hope this wasn’t the kitchens best night and they do better for other patrons.
