  I used to have a very good impression of Central Market until I tried to buy some advertised goods today. I took pictures of their advertisement. Actually they advertised both in store and the app. But when I went to the check-out, I realized the discount didn’t apply at all. So I showed the discount info to the cashier. Unfortunately, the cashier didn’t show any willingness to help even though everything was so clear in their app. She even questioned me if I had used those coupons before. Then the manager came and asked the cashier to manually zero the price out. After I got back home, I noticed she only eliminated part of it. They still charged me $7.99 and $4.99 for something that should be “free”. Plus I didn’t get $1.50 discount for croissants either. Spending $14.48 more wouldn’t be the end of my world, but definitely makes me feel like swallowing a worm. You are Central Market, one of the largest local employers. Not a flea market at the corner of the street!

  Unfortunately this company racially profiles. Went to pick up items for a get together and did self check out. Attendant decided to come right beside me pretending to clean the register next to me that no one had used prior. Mind you I was even wearing my scrubs ans had just come from my shift at the hospital and I make a great living. Even if that were not the case no one should be assumed to be stealing based solely on the color of their skin. I’m seeing more and more businesses here in SATX even after living here over 10 years. It may be time to move on. Used to choose this place over Whole Foods. Will just go to WF instead.

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Central Market is always a great place to shop in San Antonio. The store is clean, well-organized, and has an amazing selection of fresh produce, specialty foods, meats, cheeses, bakery items, and so much more. I especially enjoy discovering products you don’t normally find at a regular grocery store. The staff is friendly and helpful, and even when it’s busy, the overall experience is enjoyable. Definitely one of my favorite places to shop when I’m looking for quality ingredients or something a little special. Highly recommend!

  Unacceptable and Dangerous Conditions for Customers and Staff I am absolutely appalled by the current setup at this location. I went to pick up a special order, only to find that the customer service desk and full check-out registers have been moved outside into what used to be the cart return area. Making customers stand in 103+ degree weather waiting for orders or trying to check out is completely unconscionable. Even worse is the blatant disregard for employee safety. Forcing staff to work in triple-digit heat without proper indoor climate control is a severe health hazard. Management needs to move these registers back inside immediately before a customer or an employee suffers a heat stroke and files a lawsuit. The employees should immediately contact OSHA and file a complaint for better working conditions. The poor woman at the register had visible sweat marks on her back. Absolutely, unacceptable.
