A must-try!
We were in search of a good chicken fried steak when we came across Bobbies Southern Kitchen online. They have almost a perfect rating and the pictures and service reviews were all so good we decided to dine there for lunch on Sudnay. As our party waited my husband was stalking the kitchen outlet watching all of the delicious dishes beign brought out, his eyes bigger with each one. Our party of nine waited about 35 minutes to be seated. WELL WORTH THE WAIT. The food was AMAZING and reasonably priced. We were blessed with Audi as our waitress. She keeps the sweet tea flowing and knows that for some, lemons make all the difference in the tea, and she made sure we had plenty! She made ordering so easy and comfortable, I didn't feel rushed to placing our order. All the things above are great things but the best was her kindness was unmatched. Bobbies will certainly be a stop every visit to San Antonio.

Overall, my experience was just okay. While I can see why others may enjoy this restaurant, it wasn't a place I would personally return to. The meal didn't meet my expectations, particularly in the way it was prepared. The service was fine, but the food quality and preparation simply didn't meet my standards. I appreciate the effort, but it wasn't the experience I was hoping for.

First time here. Ordered a chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy with sausage. It was one of the best chicken fried steaks I have ever had.
The meat was juicy, not paper-thin like on many other places. The crust was also great not to much. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. Gravy was creamy and flavorful with the right amount of spices. Ordered a Texas toast that had the a buttery and floral taste.
So yes, this was a positive surprise and well worth the 30 minute waiting time.
The only remark I have would be our waiter. He never once checked if we needed a refill on our drinks. My wife ordered a glass of apple juice and he told her to remind him of it, if he forgot. We saw other waiters that paid more attention to their guests.
Went for lunch earlier this week. Service, was good, food was good. Had the grilled chicken and mashed and was the perfect size, also had the fried chicken sandwich - really good, but man was the toast super coated in butter - good but needed to ask for more napkins as eating. grood food! I think we will go back and try breakfast next week, folks were having b-fast items at lunch and everytime the plates went by they looked great.
MY ONLY GRIPE - is paying. The onscreen TIP STARTS AT 20%. Come on folks - can we do the 15, 18, 20 and let people pay custom if they want more. Starting at 20% kind of rolls into this whole tip fatigue that's rumbling in the consumer market. It's like a bit of a guilt trip if you pick less than the min presented. I don't remember the last time I tipped 15% - always tip more, but it's the principal of the matter - this is not a 4 star restaurant - no offense.

They have dropped the ball. Here’s a reason to stay small and humble.
Ordered a huge to go order for office staff.
No cream gravy for chicken fried steak. No syrup for pancakes or French toast.
Grits cold.
Everything in numerous containers.
I called. Spoke to someone who was less than empathetic.
Yes I should have unpacked every single thing but hey. You expect it to be in the bag.
I’ve eaten here a couple times recently and the food has lost a step of consistency.
The biscuits are dense and not fluffy.
