Burger Joint
With high-quality made-to-order burgers, a ‘come as you are’ environment and a strange reverence for Chuck Norris, there’s no place else quite like Twisted Root. Way back before ‘gourmet burgers’ was a thing, Chefs Jason Boso & Quincy Hart decided to build a restaurant around half-pound, fresh ground burgers with a menu that allowed customers to build their own burgers with a list of crazy and inventive toppings. The two met in culinary school, after jobs in stock brokerages and telephone line repair. After paying their dues working the line at The Four Seasons & Pappas Bros, Jason & Quincy finally opened Twisted Root Burger Co. in the Deep Ellum neighborhood of Dallas, Texas in 2006. Twisted Root appeared on the second season of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives with Guy Fieri (2009) and suddenly Twisted Root was a dining destination in Dallas. While Twisted Root Burger Co. has seen incredible growth, Jason & Quincy have stuck to their roots and their senses of humor, using a hands-on approach to high-quality, fresh food in an casual atmosphere with tons of personality.

The burgers are fantastic! They give you a celebrity place card to call out your order (instead of your name they call your celebrity name), which is absolutely whimsical and completely unique. It is a very friendly environment. The different flavor pickle station was a perfect appetizer. I would 10/10 recommend for anyone who likes a sit down restaurant, with a sort of old school sports bar feel.

It was alright, not the best food but not a bad spot, cool style to the place. Add salt to the food to bring out the flavor

Dirty restaurant! Lots of cobwebs, and thick dust bunnys on decor. We even had two large spiders in webs close to the table

Sad service. Food was stale/old. Most of the cheese bites were over cooked. Bathrooms were beyond gross! I can see why, long wait time and staff sits around openly on their phones. Not bothered at all by the filth and flys. The front doors were disgusting, should have been my eye opening red flag to turn around! Health code violation for sure...

Ordered a side of fried pickles and fries. Got charged for both sides and only received 6 fried pickles for a whole side. RIDICULOUS! The gentleman who took our order over the phone had no customer service.
