Burger Joint
With high-quality made-to-order burgers, a ‘come as you are’ environment and a strange reverence for Chuck Norris, there’s no place else quite like Twisted Root. Way back before ‘gourmet burgers’ was a thing, Chefs Jason Boso & Quincy Hart decided to build a restaurant around half-pound, fresh ground burgers with a menu that allowed customers to build their own burgers with a list of crazy and inventive toppings. The two met in culinary school, after jobs in stock brokerages and telephone line repair. After paying their dues working the line at The Four Seasons & Pappas Bros, Jason & Quincy finally opened Twisted Root Burger Co. in the Deep Ellum neighborhood of Dallas, Texas in 2006. Twisted Root appeared on the second season of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives with Guy Fieri (2009) and suddenly Twisted Root was a dining destination in Dallas. While Twisted Root Burger Co. has seen incredible growth, Jason & Quincy have stuck to their roots and their senses of humor, using a hands-on approach to high-quality, fresh food in an casual atmosphere with tons of personality.

One of the best burgers I've had. We had a great time with good food and good drinks. My friends loved the adult milkshakes and regular ones. The fried stuff was lackluster. Staff wasn't all that in terms of energy or being friendly, but nothing too bad, I guess. Nice atmosphere and outdoor area with a view down to the river area. The celebrity name thing would be better if the names didn't repeat every 15 minutes or so.

Twisted Root Burgers in San Angelo was a fun place! The atmosphere had a neat vibe and once you place your order, you are given the name of someone famous. I was shocked to discover my name wasn’t among them! Oh well, we got Jennifer Garner. We tried the sampler with fried green beans, house made chips, and onion rings. Everything was yummy! The Littles had their usual cheeseburgers. Mrs. Flip Out tried the Goat Jam It burger and really liked the unexpected toppings of goat cheese and jam. It was not too spicy and flavorful. I had the Western burger and it was great! Juicy and scrumptious, and also not too spicy. We both enjoy spice, so for us these were on the mild side, but still very tasty. The pickle bar was great and all of the varieties were good. The Littles loved trying all of the pickle flavors. Good location for groups of any size with indoor and outdoor seating.

Stopped by while hunting for the best burger in town, it was my first time eating here and it was a bit confusing on were to order. Ya boy got the millionaire burger and it was certified smackin, cooked to perfection 👌🏽 the chef wasn't playing games back there. Only negative experience was the service, my food was ready but I didn't know because someone mumbled our order name over the speaker and I have no idea what was going on. But that burger was flavor town

The burger was like a top rope elbow drop from the macho man himself. Absolutely divine. The egg was a lil overcooked, but hey jack, perfection is perfection for a reason. It's almost an unattainable thing. Unless youre the macho man Randy savage, then God made you perfect from the start.
Fries were scrumptious. When you bit the fry, the fry bit back.
The only reason macho is rating this food as 4 stars is twofold brother, 1 the egg. 2 I didn't accompany the burger with a shake. No Mega Powers that day, but that's because Hogan has lustful eyes and can't keep his hands to himself. 💪
Would definitely visit again!

If you like razzle-dazzle this place is for you!
They have sauces and celebrity name cards Food decent, nice sauces, my critique is that the patty could have been more crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.
A little pricey but not outrageous. Paying for a fun atmosphere.
Staff kind and working hard—but mediocre. They were a little short in their replies not super focused on customers and friendliness (this could be management or just the day and time). Completed the job but for this reason they were not excellent. I understand everyone needs to make money, and it is not an easy job. I also think if they would have annunciated a little bit more or explained the celebrity card system it would have been helpful.
Millionaire was tasty, and I saw celebrity Chefs on the wall. This place was recommended from a friend who frequents whenever he’s in San Angelo, but I might use my opportunity to try the other games in town.
