- PMPam M.Apr 2, 20263.0I have been shopping at this HEB for over 20 years. They offer a lot of coupons, sales and reasonable prices and usually have most items in stock. However, some issues are concerning. This evening I approached 2 high school employees who were standing there talking to each other and asked if the self check out registers near the pharmacy were closed. One girl replied “They are always closed at 7 or 7:30”. She didn’t even direct me to the other self check out registers that were open! Customers were lined up at the only open self check out registers, and a lot of times I notice that there are not enough main registers open in the middle to accommodate the crowds. Also the self check out registers would not let me scan paper coupons recently, which needs to be fixed please. As another reviewer mentioned, it is more difficult to move through the aisles later in the evening when big pallets of food are blocking the middle and end of the aisles. I am an older female who has bagged my own groceries many times because there are no employees there to bag them, yet I see some employees standing around talking to each other. Finally, they lock the doors on either end sometimes too early at 7:30 or 8 pm when they have signs outside stating these doors are locked at 9 pm. I do see that there are a lot of people moving into our area, and I wish this store would hire more employees to keep more registers open and to help bag groceries. This store needs to be bigger like an HEB superstore, and it seems more of the burden is placed on the customers here.
