This is my all time favorite HEB. Friendly staff, good prices, and they always have EVERYTHING I need or could want!

Mother’s Day weekend - they were selling flowers that were twice the price of Walmart. I don’t get HEB’s - people keep flocking here like it’s the greatest thing. No deals at any of them.

Today I had a very disappointing experience at the seafood department of H-E-B. When I arrived, the employee was already helping another customer, so I patiently stood nearby and waited. I was not trying to interrupt or cut in line. After waiting for a bit, my young child suddenly needed to use the restroom urgently and could not hold it any longer. I simply wanted to quickly confirm whether there were any live crawfish available today so I could decide whether to come back later or leave without making another trip. Before asking my question, I had already been standing there waiting, and I also noticed that at that particular moment, the employee and the other customer were not actively speaking or having a conversation. So I politely said, “Excuse me, do you have live crawfish?” What made me very uncomfortable was that the employee completely ignored me. He did not even acknowledge me with a simple “One moment please” or “I’ll help you after I finish with this customer.” Instead, he acted as if he did not hear me at all and immediately turned back to continue helping the other customer. I completely understand that employees should prioritize the customer they are currently helping, and I respect that. But basic communication and courtesy are also part of customer service. Even a brief acknowledgment would have made a huge difference and would have made me feel respected instead of invisible. What made the experience even more frustrating was that after the other customer left and I was the only person there, the employee suddenly turned to me with a very official, forced smile and asked, “How are you? How can I help you?” The contrast in attitude felt extremely fake and made the whole interaction feel even worse. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience genuinely felt less like someone being busy and more like cold, rigid, and dismissive customer service. I hope management pays more attention to basic customer interaction and courtesy.

The staff is always friendly and goes out of their way to provide assistance when sought. Store is clean. Restroom is always clean and stocked. I’ve always found a basket or cart. They always bag your groceries unless you select self checkout. Bakery is fantastic - sourdough bread is fantastic. Nice cakes a, cookies and pies. Prices are consistently lower than surrounding grocery stores

This is my regular HEB, and I’ve always had great experiences here, which is why this was so disappointing. During my last visit, two employees back-to-back were unnecessarily rude, and it honestly caught me off guard. I asked one employee where I could find an item, and she just stared at me like I was asking something ridiculous instead of helping. Then at the deli, a male employee walked up to my husband and bluntly said, “What do you want?” There wasn’t any greeting or basic courtesy. He was clearly annoyed, rolling his eyes and throwing our meat on the counter. It was so rude. I understand people have off days, but we were being nothing but polite. It left a really bad impression, which is sad given how consistently good this location usually is.
