  Such a convoluted & time wasting process to get digital coupons applied on the curbside orders. I went inside the store, they gave me a 1800 number to call, spent 15 min over the phone, the lady took her time investigating and then sent to accounting dept to apply a refund of $5 dollar bcoz the system didn’t trigger the coupon once ordered item was out of stock. Are you kidding me! HEB do better! Add feature of chat in app and/or allow in store customer service to assist with digital coupons!

  HEB has great products, but the customer service is definitely hit or miss. Sometimes the staff is very friendly, helpful, and welcoming, while other times you’re barely acknowledged. A simple hello or friendly interaction can make a big difference. I’d just like to see more consistent customer service.

  Usually I like coming here for my quick grabs, but today was very upsetting. Stood at the bakery to get help with a birthday cake and the workers behind the counter just completely ignored me. Stood there waiting for 30 minutes even when I tried to get their attention, I even grabbed my other items in hopes that when I circled back they would help me. One guy even looked in my direction and still didn’t help me. Last time I come here.

  Great store, but misplaced priorities and a frustrating app ​I've been a loyal H-E-B shopper for a long time, but the merchandising priorities and technology customer service have become increasingly frustrating. ​Misallocated Shelf Space & Stockouts Walk down the main aisles and you’ll see massive amounts of prime square footage dedicated to seasonal home decor, kitchen gadgets, and general household trinkets. While these items might carry high profit margins, they sit on the shelves with low turn rates. Meanwhile, basic, everyday grocery staples are constantly out of stock or relegated to smaller, less economical package sizes because there isn't enough shelf space to hold adequate inventory. Grocery stores thrive on inventory velocity and volume—taking dollar volume to the bank by keeping high-demand staples in stock, not by acting as a gift shop. ​Glitched Digital Coupons & App Headaches To make matters worse, navigating the store to save money has become a chore. H-E-B pushes customers toward their mobile app, but the digital coupon feature is unreliable. You can carefully scan and "clip" coupons in the app while shopping, only to find at checkout that half of them failed to sync or apply when scanning your barcode. Standing at the register watching advertised savings vanish—or having to audit a lengthy receipt after the fact—completely undermines the convenience the app is supposed to provide. ​The Bottom Line H-E-B is at its best when it focuses on dependable, well-stocked food staples and a smooth checkout experience. Please fix the glitchy digital coupon system and reallocate that valuable floor space back to the core groceries your customers rely on every week. ...After reading other reviews and responses it has become very apparent that HEB is comfortable with the 60% - 65% market share they have in Round Rock. Walmart only has 15%- 18%. HEB has probably already bought up any available land for expanding or put deed restrictions on any developed property they currently own. Maybe @Walmart can put in a few neighborhood concept stores to help with HEB's "vision" ........HEB's arrogance continues to amaze me....Case in point: their customer service when trying to resolve a basic issue with OTC (over-the-counter) benefit cards. I called today to report that items clearly marked and qualified for OTC were rejected at checkout. After explaining the situation and giving specific examples, instead of receiving an apology or actual assistance, I was flatly told that H-E-B "doesn't take the OTC card." This came despite having a receipt from the very previous day clearly showing I had used it without an issue, not to mention the documentation received with the card explicitly listing H-E-B as an approved, participating retailer. Between glitchy payment systems, misplaced shelf priorities, and customer service reps handing out demonstrably false information, the overall store experience continues to decline.
