The fruit salad with salmon was so good!! The salmon was cooked perfectly. It wasn't dry, seasoned to perfection. The honey vinaigrette paired perfectly with everything. I also had the house margarita and it went down good. Overall this is a great place for a date or for a night with the fellas!! 💪

usually love this place but had a poor experience this time
went to get a table at 7:16 the host outside told us it would be 45 minutes so we went to walk around
at 7:27 we got a text to come back but didn’t see it till 5 minutes later so we texted back 1 and it said “cannot update reservation in progress” so we walk back
it says to meet at host stand we wait outside in line at the host stand after 10 minutes i just go inside to see if there was a different place to go
i’m then told our reservation was given up because we took too long makes sense so i decide to wait a little longer (that’s what the host tells me a little longer)
so we wait and the lady tells us we have a table then someone says oh it’s not theirs so we wait more. i gave up after it turned 8 and we saw several tables be sat before us. it was a table for 2

Dear Gloria’s Latin Cuisine Management,
I have been a loyal customer of Gloria’s since I moved to Houston, Texas. I have always enjoyed the food and the service at your Houston locations, which is why I was looking forward to dining at your Rockwall restaurant.
Unfortunately, my experience at the Rockwall location was very disappointing.
I was planning to order the ribeye steak, but I do not eat the vegetables that come with the meal. I politely asked the server if they could be substituted for something else. She offered rice and beans, but then informed me that there would be an additional charge for the substitution.
I did not think it was reasonable to pay extra simply to replace one side dish with another. In fact, rice and beans are among the most inexpensive side dishes that any restaurant can serve, while fresh vegetables are often more expensive. For that reason, I could not understand why I was being asked to pay more to substitute vegetables with rice and beans. From a customer’s perspective, that policy simply does not make sense.
Because of that, I decided not to order the meal.
I then spoke with the manager, hoping he would understand my concern. Instead, his response was disappointing. Rather than listening to my point or explaining the policy in a professional manner, he told me that I could stay and that he would give me the rice and beans, as if I were asking for free food.
That was never my intention.
My concern was not about receiving free rice and beans. My concern was that a customer should not be charged extra for replacing vegetables with another basic side dish. More importantly, I expected to be treated with respect and to have my concern taken seriously.
As a result of this experience, I decided to leave the restaurant without ordering. I went to a nearby Japanese restaurant instead, where I had an excellent meal and excellent service.
The manager’s attitude cost Gloria’s a loyal customer that day. I have always enjoyed your Houston locations, but my experience in Rockwall has made me reconsider returning to Gloria’s in the future.
I hope you will review both your substitution policy and the way customer concerns are handled at your Rockwall location. I believe loyal customers deserve better.

I was very disappointed with my experience at Gloria's Restaurant on Rockwall. It's such a beautiful lakeside location, but the restaurant itself feels old, dull, and outdated. Unlike other Gloria's locations that feel warm and inviting, this one lacked atmosphere and didn't make me feel welcome.
The patio was another disappointment. One section was completely closed, and the other was covered with plastic, making it impossible to enjoy the beautiful lake view. The location has so much potential, but it isn't being used to create a pleasant dining experience.
The hostess staff also needs much better customer service training. When we walked in, they were standing around talking to each other instead of greeting guests. One hostess was training a new employee, but she spoke to the new girl loudly and disrespectfully in front of customers. It was unprofessional, embarrassing to witness, and created a very unpleasant first impression.
The restaurant's appearance also needs attention. The décor feels neglected, and the table settings look poorly arranged rather than clean, inviting, and polished.
Overall, this location does not reflect the quality or atmosphere I have experienced at other Gloria's restaurants. With such an amazing lakeside setting, I expected a welcoming, beautiful restaurant with professional staff. Instead, I left disappointed. I hope management invests in updating the restaurant, improving customer service, and providing better staff training because this location has the potential to be much better.
