Why This McDonald’s Deserves a One-Star Rating and headed to zero stars!
I’m 65 years young and for decades I’ve been a big fan of McDonald’s.
However, this new store is terrible and not representative in any way of the McDonald’s brand I’ve come to enjoy, appreciate, respect and supported all of these years.
Since they’ve opened this location, I have experienced a frequency of incorrect orders.
My complaints against this McDonald’s is the frequency of incorrect orders: missing items, wrong sandwiches, cold fries, incorrect drinks, or incomplete meals despite clearly placing and paying for specific orders, poor manager and employee communication.
What makes the issue worse is that many of the employees and managers appear irritated when I politely asked for corrections. Instead of apologizing and fixing the problem efficiently, I was met with sighs, attitude, or outright hostility.
For a billion-dollar corporation that prides itself on speed and efficiency, communication, repeatedly failing to provide accurate orders shows a lack of quality control and accountability.
This restaurant operates as though customers are inconveniences rather than the reason the business exists.
From doing my own research on this ‘new’ McDonald’s, my issues are not simply isolated incidents. Many customers report that hostile behavior has become normalized at this location. Instead of creating a welcoming environment, this store feel tense, disorganized, and chaotic and the General Manager is incompetent at best!
Have you heard they are keeping customer change too? The many times I’ve gone in this restaurant I can never get my full change back. They keep saying the bank has run out of pennies, so they short me. I called numerous banks after my last incident and they said it isn’t true. The banks said stores need to simply order change or stop by the bank and request change!! Crooks!!!
Two days ago, I decided to call the corporate office to request a call back from the owner of this new McDonald’s to express my experiences and my concerns.
Two days later, I get a random text message about one of my 4 concerns. The person that sent the text didn’t identify themselves, they didn’t even say good morning I am….. This is very rude! I never asked anyone to send me a text message. I asked for a return phone call. Very unprofessional!
Communities support McDonald’s daily through millions of purchases. In return, customers expect respect, communication, professionalism, cleanliness, and consistent service. Instead, I feel treated as a number rather than a valued patron.
Why a One-Star Rating Is Appropriate
A one-star rating is appropriate this McDonald’s business because they are failing at meeting minimum expectations for:
• Accuracy.
• Professionalism.
• Respect.
• Communication.
• Accountability.
• Customer satisfaction.
I am not nor have I demanded perfection. I simply want:
• The correct order.
• Respectful treatment.
• Honest service.
• Timely food preparation.
• Clean facilities.
• My correct change after a purchase
• Employees and managers willing to resolve issues professionally not through some random text message from an unknown person.
Business experts say that everything rises and falls with leadership. If this is true and I believe that it is this McDonald’s needs new leadership now, a different General Manager or else they will keep losing business. Right now as of this post they are rating a 2.1 by others. This is bad bad and bad.
