We had a great experience at this eat out. Authentic bengali food. We ordered fish curry and biriyani. The kathi roll was too good. Great service and they even modified the fish curry according to our taste.

If you’re looking for authentic south asian food, this place is a must-visit. As someone who has had the original kacchi biryani in Dhaka, I can honestly say there are times when this restaurant even surpasses that taste. We’ve tried kacchi biryani in many states across the U.S., and this is, by far, the best we’ve had.
I feel like many non-Bengalis haven’t experienced true Dhaka-style kacchi because it isn’t widely promoted. If you’ve never had it, this is the place to try it.
Whenever we’re in Dallas, we make sure to eat here at least once. The morog polao has a unique aroma and flavor, the chicken moghlai porota is delicious with its own twist (not the traditional deep-fried version), and the Bangladeshi-style pomfret fry is excellent.
Finish your meal with a cup of tea, it has that authentic Bangladeshi taste that completes the experience.
Our only wish is that they would open a branch in Virginia so we wouldn’t have to travel for such authentic Bangladeshi food. Highly recommended!

They told me the Tehari will be ready 10-12 min. I had to wait around 25 mins to get it.
For $17 if tehari i expected enough meat and fresh. There was a big bone on each of my 3 tehari box. Food was not fresh, it felt old terahi warmed it.

I visited Chameli Restaurant last Saturday to try their Bangladeshi food, and it was a very disappointing experience. The food tasted like it had been frozen and simply reheated before being served.
The Dhakaia Kacchi and the chicken biryani were both extremely dry, lacked flavor, and did not taste fresh at all. I was expecting authentic Bangladeshi cuisine, but the quality was far below expectations.
Unfortunately, I would not recommend this restaurant. There are much better places to enjoy fresh and flavorful Bangladeshi food.
We recently dined at Chameli Restaurant and overall had a great experience. We ordered the Beef Rezela, Rohu Fish Curry and Goat Curry.
The Beef Rezela was definitely the highlight of the meal - rich, flavorful and very enjoyable. I’d rate it 4/5. The Rohu Fish Curry was also delicious, with three decent-sized pieces of fish and the taste was excellent. The Goat Curry was just okay compared to the other dishes, but still decent. We also appreciated that they served a generous amount of rice with the curries.
One thing I would like to bring to the management’s attention is that after washing our hands, they turned yellow, likely from the turmeric used in the food. While we understand turmeric naturally stains, it might be worth checking the quality or brand of turmeric and other spices being used to ensure the best dining experience for customers.
Overall, we enjoyed the food and would recommend Chameli Restaurant, especially for the Beef Rezela and Rohu Fish Curry. With a little attention to the spice quality, the experience could be even better.
