I always get great service. The entire staff is friendly. Today the cashier, Shaunta was amazing. She had a huge smile on her face and had the best conversation with her while she was taking care of my purchase. She made my day!

My husband overheard an HEB employee speaking negatively about our autistic 3-year-old foster child while they were having a difficult moment in the store. What that employee saw was a child struggling. What they didn’t see was a child navigating autism, a child in foster care, and a family doing our best to help them feel safe and supported. Children don’t have meltdowns because they want to make life difficult. Often, they’re overwhelmed and doing the best they can with the tools they have. As caregivers, we’re right there beside them, helping them through it. A little kindness, patience, and understanding can make all the difference. You never know a child’s story or what challenges they’re carrying. Before judging a child—or the adults caring for them—choose compassion. Some of the children who need grace the most receive it the least. Today was a reminder that the world could use a lot more empathy. ❤️

UPDATE: HEB happily resolved my issue below. I also wanted to add that the shoppers for pick-up are awesome. The shoppers I’ve had really pay attention to my notes, and I am so grateful! Makes up for everything else because of how convenient and relieving it is to have someone else shop for you. Keep it up!!! I should be more diligent checking the expiration dates of items at this HEB, but also they shouldn’t be stocking expired products on the shelves. I’ve bought expired Nate's Organic Honey and YeeHaw Pickles No Frills Dills and didn’t notice until after I got home. I’ve never had issues the several times I bought the pickles, but this last time the pickles tasted off. I checked the date, and it was best by 8/21/2025! I’m 19 weeks pregnant also, so it’s fortunate I didn’t get sick and no harm done to my baby. I just don’t understand how this one was stocked on the shelf after all of the good ones sold over the last several months. Other than this, I enjoy shopping at HEB.
