  The food was fantastic, and Delina was absolutely wonderful! She was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Great food and great service — definitely recommend!

  lazy "ignore the customer until they go away" attitude. Refuse to answer the phone and make catering orders 10 times more difficult than it needs to be assuming they even bother to do it in the first place. Strongly recommend ordering catering from another location, it may be a much longer drive but at least other locations pretend to care.

  This is one our favorite places to eat BBQ, but the restaurant was dirty, the bathroom faucet did not work, the bbq sauce pump was empty, the ice maker did not work. Please get a better manager and hire people who care about their job.

  Let me start off by saying, this is Texas and we love our BBQ. When friends ordered True Texas BBQ for a pool party I was hesitant. BBQ from a grocery store?? But this isn't just any grocery store- this is HEB. I kept an open mind and gave it a shot and am really glad I did. The brisket and sausage were great. I'm a sucker for collard greens and these were addicting. They chop them up so at first glance I was unsure; but upon tasting them, I realized how good they were and never looked back. The mac and cheese was a bit more bland but still good and creamy. A little salt made it right as rain. For a convenient option, this was great and I'd grab it again for sure.

  Having eaten at my share and counting locations of True Texas BBQ across the state, I decided to grab a bite at the spot inside the Plano H-E-B on Preston Road. The standout of the meal was undoubtedly the moist brisket. It was incredibly tender, perfectly smoked, and packed with flavor. Every bite practically melted, proving once again that their pitmasters really know what they are doing when it comes to slow-smoked beef. For sides, the sidewinder potatoes were absolutely delicious—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned just right. Unfortunately, the macaroni and cheese didn't quite reach those same heights. It wasn't bad, but it was fairly average compared to the rest of the plate, a bit routine and lacking that rich, extra-cheesy punch you hope for at a Texas joint. As for the service, it was totally fine. The staff got me through the line efficiently and everything was handled correctly. That said, while the service here is never bad, it isn't quite as over-the-top friendly or hyper-attentive as what I’ve experienced at some of the other True Texas BBQ locations.
