Shot of espresso with sugar added directly to the espresso pitcher. The heat from the coffee-making process will hydrolyze some of the sucrose, thereby creating a sweeter and slightly more viscous result than a normal pull or adding sugar at the table

This is the Real Thing! Here visiting from Miami and Orlando; the food is delicious!! Ordered easily online for pickup. All was well packaged by Luis (nice guy!). All was at the right flavors and consistency. Moist and flavorful. The Mofongo with Vaca Frita delicious. The Pork Masitas with Congrí and the Cuban Sandwich as good as the best in Miami. The PuertoRican Arroz con Gandules flavor was on point (but needs more actual Gandules). Even the fries were delicious. The Yuca al Mojo is traditional! Don’t forget to get a coffee Colada (with the sugar, just like Miami). This is a piece of Miami in DFW. Delicious 🤤🇨🇺🇵🇷

Tried the ropa vieja, cuban, and vaca frita sandwiches with family. All were excellent. Cafecitos were pretty refreshing too with a large portion. If I lived near here, I'd be coming back regularly

The food here was amazing. I was in Plano for a few hours and had found this restaurant through the Find Me Gluten Free app. I was excited because I've always wanted to try cuban food.
It was early evening, so sadly I did not get to try their coffee.
We asked about what was gluten free, and he said that most things were, which was exciting for us. (I did not have any reactions either, so yay!)
We didn't look at a menu when we went in, the person I was with just asked them what their most popular dishes were.
With my hearing issues I couldn't hear some of what was said, so I'm not sure exactly what we got. We shared our dishes so I got to taste everything.
We ordered mofongo and the pork roast. We got mineral water for our drinks, I think it went very well with it. Every bite was wow.
I appreciated that the man who took our order let us know that it would be about 20 minutes. . We did not mind, both of us had been traveling all day in the heat and it was nice to not be in a vehicle.
The black rice and beans that came with the pork roast had some unexpected flavor... apparently they use juice from the pork roast in their beans, I think I was tasting anise? cardamon? (Anise makes more sense in a roast I think?) It was hard to tell. But it was not a flavor I would've associated with this side of the world. A pleasant surprise nonetheless. The onions that came with the roast reminded me of the onion ring onions I had when I was young, it was a nice little nostalgia boop. There were a couple of bites of the pork roast that were a little dry, but I love those parts because they have a greater concentration of flavor, and most of it was tender. I even ate the pork fat, the flavor was so good.
The mofongo was impressive looking. I did get the shrimp, and I asked them to pick a sauce for me, since I didn't know what either sauce was. It was lovely, and the plantain had a comfort food vibe. Every bite was just right.
We were happy with the portions, and everything got eaten. I did save some of the black beans so my mom could try them, she loves beans.
We left full and happy.
If I'm ever in Plano again, I will definitely come back and try some more of what they have to offer! (Hopefully early enough to have the coffee)
