Jude, manager for Curb Side Pickup saved the day. I had the worst 1st delivery experience with HEB and was told by one of the customer rep supervisors to come to the store to make the order right. I showed up to the store and they had no idea what I was talking about. Jude deep dove and found out what had actually happened. He happily addressed my concern and reshopped everything and corrected the issue instantly. Jude is extraordinary! He even saved a little bunny from getting scooped up by a crow mid conversation. Jude really turned my experience around and I will happily continue to shop here!

I regularly buy large amount of tomatillos and jalapeños to make salsa verde, and there has always been an abnormal amount of bugs swarming these areas compared to other grocery stores. I’ve always just ignored the bugs, whatever. Today, I found a large growth of mold in the tomatillos. HEB, I love you, but I think the maintenance of the produce section is in need of improvement.

Atmosphere- most of the time its packed. Best to go in the middle of a week day Employees- always the most kind, clean uniformed folks I've been able to meet! They are one of the best things about shopping at HEB. Prices- this is the other best thing about HEB. Prices are always just a little bit better than everywhere else. So they are aware of competing stores. The coupons that hang in front of said item is alot of fun. You MUST scan them otherwise you don't get the savings. (I forgot today lol!) Overall- I love coming where when im able to make it. Its great that theyre expanding into DFW and suburbs. ** the only complaints I have is the amount of product that they advertise on sale, they typically run out very quickly and don't have much left in the backstock to refill it.

First time shopper at H-E-B. First experience, the parking lot was giant and full, and hard to move because people pushing their carts. Next experience was the barbecue shop. They couldn't fill my order of brisket baked potato because they were out of potatoes. So I got the chop beef sandwich with chips and drink. Fair price, not good food. The brisket sandwich was below the quality of Dickeys (which is only so-so anyway). The chips were generic store-brand. Then shopping: you can't even walk down the produce isles. Its like a line of 3 people waiting in front of the avocadoes, another line to get an onion, people weaving in and out trying to navigate. On the to meats: could barely move my cart. Every three feet, have to maneuver around another shopper or group of shoppers. I grabbed ground beef, and the price was slightly above what I'm used to paying at Winco and Walmart. On to the dairy. Still rough navigating, people, groups, shopping carts. Its a madhouse (this was Saturday afternoon). I get to the cheeses and can't even get near enough to read the packages because so many people in the way. At that point I decided to abandon the cart and leave. Went to Walmart on my way home, picked up the six itmes I needed in about half the time and less hassle. Which is surprising: I usually avoid Walmart Supercenters because they are a hassle. big parking, big store, lots of walking, can take a half hour. H-E-B was 3X worse. If you don't mind spending a lot of time, don't mind playing bumper carts in a crowded produce, dairy or meats section, don't mind having trouble parking, don't mind long walk and waits, then you might like H-E-B in Plano. What I did like about the store was the prepared food section. They have things like spaghetti with meatballs, lasagna, macaroni, brisket with queso etc already prepared, so you just pop it in the oven and cook 15 minutes to serve. Pretty nice selection, all kinds of delicious-looking things. So I rate 2 stars overall. 0 stars for convenience. 0 stars for the BBQ restaurant. 3 stars for pricing. 4 stars for selection of pre-prepared dishes. 0 stars for environment and crowding etc. I could only shop there if it was very close to home shopping off peak hours so I could actually park near the store and navigate a cart inside the store.
