  I go to HEB for the Tru Tx BBQ, and sometimes shop around. Their produce is pretty good.. i wish they got more of those african melons from a few years back. Great bottled & canned water options. Great chicken salad , but the outside of the packages have chicken bits and juice on them WAY too often.. gross. And they use soybean oil in their chicken salad, when there’s so many healthier oils they could use. Also, the chicken salad has too much mayo to begin with, and it’s not cheap. Their ‘healthy’ aisle is seriously lacking in the quality items that local competitors carry. And the few healthy items HEB sells used to be priced lower than other grocery stores, but the last few years most all their prices have gone up to the point that they are priced the same or even higher than both Whole Foods and Natural Grocer. Even Sprouts has better quality items, like chocolate and refrigerated snack bars. Super uncool and nasty that they stopped providing cleaning wipes at the front, so you can no longer wipe down the grocery cart handle or baby seat area.. which doesn’t seem very sanitary. Kids also stand in carts, and it’s gross to put my food where the bottom of kids dirty shoes have been. They now have a squirt bottle with sanitizer for your hands, but people want to clean the cart handle and baby seat area, and they cannot do that anymore without some sort of towel wipe. Please bring back the cleaning wipes so we can feel safe putting our fruit and veggies into a cleaner cart.

  I barely got in the store with a whole cart of plants only went here to get fruits..plants were alive and thriving in this heat! Beautiful assortment. I met the super nice young man that was watering them. So I managed to put my fruits in the basket then had to leave or get another basket. For Plano the prices were terrific..I walked out of there only spending 200. I live in Euless where theres a new H.E.B but its way smaller then this one..I will be comming back here..Definitely worth the drive to stock up.

  Curbside @H-E-B Plano is outstanding and underused. I’ve placed 100+ curbside orders (for $0.00) + several delivery orders, which are convenient & surprisingly accurate. On the rare occasion something is missing or not right, refunds are quick & easy within the app. I’ve gone inside the store less than 5 times because it’s always very busy, and honestly I don’t know where to find items. I’m a curbside customer for life!

  Leo staff review Before I start commenting on my negative experience here, I would like to first start off by saying that I love H-E-B. The brand, the culture and the protection of their customer service values has always allowed for them to thrive. One of my first jobs I was an H-E-B cashier, and I appreciated all of the valuable skills that I learned there. With this being said LEO either needs some basic customer service training or needs to be fired. I came in today and unloaded my groceries onto the belt and received no greeting. Which is no big deal at all, the concern that I have is rather that after unloading my groceries and after the person before me finished checking out, he turns around to a cashier behind him and starts a full on conversation ignoring beginning checking me out and me completely. I’m tired wanting to get home after work, and was sitting there being ignored, waiting for him to begin scanning my items. About one full minute passed until the coworker who had been stealing glances at me to see my reaction let him know to turn around and check me in. He says oh I’m sorry and begins checking my groceries out. But it doesn’t end here…. Whether this was deliberate or not, I can’t tell. Either this guy has terrible customer service skills or for some reason he just wanted to ignore me as much as possible. After I’ve made my payment and he checks the screen to make sure it processes and print my receipt He turns around and starts chatting again. So I’m sitting there being ignored waiting for my receipt and a manager came by to pick up trashes right when he was turning around for a chat. He turns to the manager still leaving me ignored, grabs trashcan looks at me. Looks at the receipt and takes the same hand, he used with the dirty trashcan to hand me the receipt. There was no apology. There was no have a nice day. The manager, it seems noticed a bit of the situation and said have a nice day with a smile. It’s really saved my growing disappointment in that moment that H-E-B had brought its quality standards down for customer service in exchange for rude and inattentive employees who socialize amongst themselves only. I’ve been to this location a few times before, and it would be wise for management here to do some training with this employee to ensure that the brands quality standards are maintained. If someone does not like servicing someone who is in front of them, or being polite or simply attentive then they shouldn’t be working at H-E-B. And if management isn’t able to uphold the standard and would like to instead hire people who will not agree with the brands culture or mission, then they should change as well. Hopefully this reaches someone who cares. And hopefully the team can learn from this! Love you, H-E-B!!
