I love this store, the H-E-B brand altogether so 5 stars for me but I wanted to mention maybe stay away from this choice of hot dog buns which I bought days ago, they went bad in days. Bought them on the 22nd and by the 26th they are mold and cannot be eaten. I know it says best if used by 25th but a day shouldn’t make this big of a difference. Maybe just a bad batch but I’ll stay away from this choice. Still love H-E-B.

The store often has what I want. The employee's are nice, often kind. They sometimes have deals, which is a plus. I sometimes get mailers that brings me back in. The service here is always a 10. I never have any issues when I go grocery shopping here. Parking is awlays easy too.

🤢 Asparagus was slimy and smelly. The salmon and apples were rotten when opened/sliced into them. The items were chosen by instacart but they are choosing from the same selection as other in store shoppers.

As a Texan, I feel uniquely qualified to say this: H-E-B is not merely a grocery store. It is a cultural institution. The loyalty Texans have to H-E-B is borderline irrational, but honestly, it’s earned. The food is legitimately excellent, the store brands routinely punch above their weight, and there’s an almost absurd amount of pride in shopping there. You don’t just “go to H-E-B.” You have an H-E-B. But what really sets H-E-B apart is the way it treats the communities it serves. During hurricanes, freezes, floods, and every other Texas disaster, H-E-B has repeatedly shown up with food, supplies, donations, and logistical support when people need it most. Their generosity feels less like corporate philanthropy and more like a neighbor saying, “We’ve got you.” There are grocery stores all over the United States. H-E-B is something different. It has managed to become part grocery store, part community institution, part source of state pride. I have yet to encounter another supermarket with this combination of genuinely good food, fiercely loyal customers, and an almost pathological commitment to its community. H-E-B is the best grocery store in the United States. I will die on this hill.

This place has a fantastic selection of groceries, including fresh vegetables, meat, and fish. Everything is very reasonably priced with lots of sales, and the quality is good. I would have loved a few more of organic options though.
