We had the most amazing waiter, Jorge, for our lunch and it was a magical experience!! The food was superb and the service was beyond exceptional. We are in from out of town for a conference and are so happy we came here! Would strongly recommend Jorge and this restaurant.

We came to Del Frisco’s tonight to celebrate my mother’s birthday and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience, especially considering the price point and reputation of the restaurant. We made a reservation ahead of time and arrived as a party of 6, yet were initially taken to a table set for only 5 people. After going back to wait again, we were eventually seated at the same table that felt crammed awkwardly between other tables to the point the server had to walk all the way around just to access each side easily. The service throughout the evening was very slow. Drinks took an exceptionally long time to arrive every time we ordered, and at one point we were told they didn’t even have the ingredients for one of the cocktails ordered - an ameretto sour. How is that possible? The food was also inconsistent. One steak came out overcooked while another came out undercooked. We finished the evening ordering a chocolate cake. It came out rock hard, almost frozen. Overall, it was just a poor experience for what is supposed to be an upscale dining experience. We chose Del Frisco’s for a special birthday occasion and left disappointed and $665 plus tip poorer.

Del Frisco was great. They were very responsive. Based in the Legacy West Area which is primo walking around area. Moved my appt back an hr with no issues. Very appreciative of that. Service was great. We had 2 waiters constantly checking on us. One of that was this fabulous man who joked and recommended alternations to our meal that made my wife very happy. Entertaining service. We had a nice date. My steak was delicious but I honestly couldn't say that it was worth the price point. That could be my less than discerning palate.

I saw a video 🤯from Dallas Texas foodie, that made Del Frisco's look amazing🤩. The video showed a brunch menu gingerbread pancakes🫢😋. So in my head I was taking😙🥲 my girlfriend out for Mother's Day🤗, and about to experience some Heavenly😶‍🌫️ goodness. The hostess, and our waitress both informed us that the pamphlet that was the menu is not their normal menu🤥🫢. We just drove over an hour to this place😤, an our waitress said that they don't have any more pancakes😡, (how do you run out of Pancakes?)🤬 Isn't it just a mix that you can just make more of. I'm not going to lie I just had the bypass surgery and I really can't eat a lot. But this meal was going to make my whole day because I hadn't eaten all day just had a cup of coffee. I wind up getting a spinach artichoke dip and their Mac and cheese. I think the spinach artichoke dip with $17, in my opinion it was only worth maybe 10🤧😵‍💫, I think Cheddar's probably sells a better one. When the mac and cheese came in a little bowl🫨, it wasn't worth it either. My girlfriend is awesome she didn't complain about anything she ordered some sort of steak salad that they had, the steak was delicious. I had a piece of her steak and the salad, again🤔 I don't think it was worth it, check out the pictures. Our waitress ran a good sales pitch asking us to come back and see their real menu🤨😮‍💨. What do they say about first impressions😮‍💨😒, you were supposed to have the real menu out now🤬🤐. And so many people that were there saw the same video that I saw and were all disappointed by the pamphlet menu. Oh I almost forgot to mention, they would not even bring us out any bread, the waitress said they weren't doing any bread today I had to ask her again to bring out some bread I told her I'd pay for it🫣. So when the bread comes out it comes out cold🥴, what restaurant do you know sends out cold bread (at this level)? Hell, you can go to Red Lobster and get the cheddar biscuits, they come out piping hot. If you're coming from the Forney area, if you're coming from the Mansfield area, at this point I don't think this place is worth the drive.

I don't review a place unless I'm genuinely disappointed. That's the first thing. So know that this comes from a place of feeling genuinely fleeced. On April the 29th, I took a client out to this location at his behest. He ordered the filet mignon, as did my CEO. I Ordered the rib eye, medium rare. This is the crux of my disappointment with this establishment, but we'll first go over the lead-up to it. First, the complimentary bread. It was okay. Not good. Just okay. One of the pinnacles of any higher-end restaurant should be the thing they serve every customer that immediately grabs them to say, "I want to have everything they cook inside of me, right now!" I didn't get that feeling. For the price point, I feel I should have. The appetizer was the highlight of the meal. We got the calamari. It was extremely well executed. I honestly wouldn't change a thing. It made me think, "Okay; maybe this place just doesn't put their best foot forward. Nothing wrong with that, as long as the rest of the food is this delicious." The waiter was rather bland, dismissive, and not really on the ball. I won't dwell on him because everyone has a bed day. I still tipped generously, all things considered. Then came the actual meal. After being recommended the potatoes au gratin, lobster Mac and cheese, and ordering a helping of onion rings to round out what was sure to be a great meal, my excitement turned to utter disdain for such a well-refarded establishment. The potatoes au gratin were undercooked, severely. I couldn't get past the heavy herb taste it seemed to be drowned it. There was no cheese to speak of, and the bacon was almost non-existent. The lobster mac was similarly devoid of cheese, more bland that most food trucks at which you would find similar fare. Also; there was maybe a tablespoon of actual lobster. No flavor tying anything together, and a complete let down in the realm of lobster Mac and cheese. I actually didn't try the onion rings. I'm not the biggest fan of those on the best of days. So we'll skip that. Now for the steak. I didn't ask my client or CEO because I don't like to come across as a steak snob if someone else is enjoying there's. My ribeye, ordered medium rare was quite rare, indeed; cold in the middle. The cap was okay, but the entire steak was absolutely missing any flavor. Even the beef flavor took a hiatus for this particular steak. There was little to no salt used in the seasoning of this slab, and I doubt any other spices or herbs ever touched it. On top of everything wrong with this particular steak thus far, the cut itself was sub-par. This was not a prime cut. This was obviously sepect grade. For a 76 dollar rib eye, the least you can do is use a quality grade of meat with spices that compliment it and bring out all the wonderful flavors that a good steak can impart on a diner. Texas Roadhouse makes better rib eye, for crying out loud. It sucks that I paid more that 400 dollars for a meal that my wife, who sucks at cooking steak, could have made me for a fraction of the price with a far better grade of steak for much less money. And as bad as it would be, presentation and all, it would still be considerably better than what I had at Del Friscos.
