Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
I placed a to-go order this afternoon, but when I got home, I discovered that one item was missing. I called the store, and Mr. Tim apologized for the mistake and told me to return before 5:00 PM to receive the complete meal.
However, when my wife arrived at the store, Tim was no longer on shift, and the staff refused to honor his commitment, stating that he had already left for the day. This situation is extremely frustrating. The missing item was the store’s mistake, we were asked to return to pick up the full meal, and then the promise was not fulfilled. Based on this experience, I do not plan to visit the store again.

I’m honestly frustrated because this is the second time my order has been missing condiments that were specifically requested. This time, it was simple ketchup and gravy for the chicken. How are these items being missed when they’re clearly listed on the receipt?
It really seems like the receipt isn’t being read carefully before the order is handed out. These are small things, but they make a big difference when you’re ordering food and having it delivered I’m pissed off.

Amazing food and business for the community! Not only do they provide great food and service, they care about the community they serve by giving back to the local schools. Tim is a great manager and truly cares. Great business and community members!

This Whataburger needs to do better. They absolutely need new management and employees. My husband picked up our online order and for some reason our fries (Medium and Large) weren’t in the bag. When he asked politely about it, the employee that came out with our food was rude and didn’t believe he ordered fries when clearly it was on the receipt. Came home and the way they made our burger it’s unbelievable.
Definitely going to another location.

I’ve been to this Whataburger numerous times and typically have a good experience. However tonight 08/28/2026 was absolutely an embarrassment to their restaurant. The person taking the order at the drive through was rude as hell, spoke like he couldn’t give a crap, and had to be intervened by someone else. Then we waited at least 20 mins for the wrong order to come out and waited another 15 to the correct order. Whataburger should be embarrassed at the entire staff there tonight.
