  My car broke down and I was waiting for a tow truck and decided to walk over and try it out. The wings and hush puppies were fresh and delicious. The seasoning is amazing, as well as the sauces!

  My food exceeded my expectations. My food was hot and fresh! The staff was VERY friendly. Priscilla greeted with excitement and she knew her stuff.

  I just started eating at Whales about a week ago. I am kicking myself for not trying it sooner. These wings are so delicious. They are perfectly seasoned. Also a great deal for your money. Now I have found a new spot for my family as well.

  I’ve been a regular customer here for a long time and eat here several times a week, which is why this experience was so disappointing. My first order was completely overcooked. The fish was so hard it was literally like a brick, and the fried okra was extremely dark, tasting like it had been cooked in old grease. When I mentioned it to the employee who brought my food, she kept saying, “It’s fresh, it’s fresh.” Fresh and hot wasn’t the issue—the food was severely overcooked. She took my order back to be remade, but somehow the second order was even worse. This time the fish was undercooked and the entire meal was soggy, almost as if no one cared after I complained. I ended up throwing the entire meal away because it wasn’t edible. I’ve never had to complain about the food here before, which is why this was so surprising. It honestly felt like whoever was cooking that day either didn’t want to be there or simply didn’t care about the quality of the food being served. I should have just asked for a refund instead of accepting a remake. As a loyal customer, I expected much better. Unfortunately, after this experience, they’ve lost my business.
