  Ordered at the window on 5/9/26 around 6:50 PM and the guy taking orders was rude. I asked for a baked potato with chopped beef, and he said they were out and couldn't ring it up. I then asked if I could still place the order for when it is ready and that way I could just wait inside until they were ready, but we kept going back and forth because he didn't seem to understand what I was asking. He eventually told me to come back in 10 minutes.I waited over 15 minutes, got back in line, and had to wait even longer because of the cars ahead of me.When I finally got back to the window and asked for the same order, he responded with an attitude again, saying they still didn't have potatoes and to come back in 30 minutes even though he had already told me 10 minutes before. I understand it's not his fault they were out of potatoes, but I wasn't rude or giving attitude, so there was no reason for him to respond that way. The whole situation ended up wasting my lunch break and my time since I had to come back twice for no reason when I could've just gone somewhere else.

  I love this Papas BBQ. Gabriel the Manager has the best customer service I've seen in a while. He's always walking around working or visiting with the customers. The BBQ here is great. Brisket, ribs and salad is my go to. All the staff stays busy and keeps it very clean. Yes you will spend more than 20 or 30 dollars for 2 people. But you get quality food for your money. Inside and out this place looks amazing. The best part about this restaurant is the Staff.

  It’s been about a year between visits at this location and the ribs were still tough and rubbery. Not sure what’s going on but there need to be some improvements in that area.

  This restaurant really went above and beyond in customer service. I feel like a horrible person after making a complaint over something so small and management more than made it right. Thank you!! I’m sorry. Yall deserve better customers!!

  We’ve been to Pappas BBQ (2336 Oleander Drive, Pasadena, TX) several times now, and most of which have been disappointing . Three times now they have been out of major menu items .. twice —no brisket. Today—no baby back ribs. For a BBQ restaurant, that’s pretty unacceptable. These are core items people come for. It’s frustrating to make the trip and not be able to order what you actually want. They really need to get a better handle on their inventory.
