Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Don’t go here. I found dirty tissues in my bag, not sure what I did to deserve that. Employees also beat people with trash cans??

Lazy workers. Saw a A.A. worker spend close to an hour sorting through the ketchup packs. After the team leader told him to leave them alone. Even the Grey shirt worker told him to stop. He continues to jerk around... lazy workers like that should be fired. Several other workers was standing around up front by the checkout. Just standing and not doing anything but , standing in the way. Maybe someone needs to be reprimanded. .

Stopped by Whataburger after work and got a patty melt with onion rings. The bread was toasted super crispy, almost too much, but it actually worked with how soft everything else was. The cheese was melted perfectly and the burger was juicy but definitely greasy. Onion rings were fresh but a little oily. Took about 10 minutes to get my food. Overall like an 8.5/10 messy but worth it.

I had a great experience at Whataburger. The facility was clean and well-maintained, which always makes a difference when you’re stopping in for a meal. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to care about providing good service.
What stood out to me the most, though, was seeing their commitment to inclusivity. It was refreshing and uplifting to see individuals with special needs being employed and, more importantly, treated with kindness, patience, and respect by both management and coworkers. That says a lot about the culture of this location.
Overall, it was more than just a quick meal—it was a positive experience that left a lasting impression. I’ll definitely be back, if I am ever in the area again.
