  Fried Mushroom appetizers were great. Sirloin Signature plate with shrimp was not good. The green beans were overly seasoned and the steak was impossible to cut. Had a potatoe soup that was tasteless .. pretty bad. Hated to be one of those customers but for $35 dollars for the meal I couldnt even cut or chew the meat. I changed it out for a Mexican Laredo chicken breast which I took home with tortilla soup because every one else had finished their meal while I waited for the manager. The manager and staff were very nice The chicken laredo was very good and tender but it was missing the the avocado. The soup I was told was spicy. It basically tasted like vegetable soup with a small chunk of avocado with tons of black pepper with a tiny piece of chicken. This is the first time Ive ever made a bad post for a restaurant. I guess for Mother's Day I was just so disappointed.

  Been here several times and haven't had a bad experience yet! The food is delicious. Our ribeye was cooked perfect, the salmon with fried asparagus was amazing, brisket cheese dip and baked mac and cheese tasted smokey and rich. My one and only item I did not care for was due to my personal taste preference after I tried it, but it was still a smooth drink. Service was delightful! Will return for dinner again.

  I visited Saltgrass(New Caney) for the first time on 5/8/26 for a Mother’s Day dinner. And, let me share that the food was Scrumptious as well as the staff. It was WELL WORTH the wait! If you are in New Caney or the surrounding areas…head on to Saltgrass in New Caney and try the Salmon Oscar, Fried Mushrooms, Asparagus and Mashed Potatoes….YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT! Thank You Saltgrass Team for an Amazing Experience of flavors!

  Food came out slow and cold. The food value for the money was shockingly bad. Couldn't believe how bad the chicken and sausage meal was for the price. 1/4" thick slice of chicken breast with fake grill marks. A piece of low quality sausage, about 1.5" long but fileted to appear larger. A stingy portion of mashed potatoes " cold ". Wouldn't even melt the butter. Cold fries with the hamburger, real cold. Like old cold.

  I had lunch here yesterday with my mom and we felt rushed. The waiter took our order and she mentioned something about alcoholic beverages but my mother said she didn’t drink the waitress did her eyes to the side. She came back and asked if we wanted our order placed separately or all together we said altogether and she rolled her eyes to the side again. She came back with bread and our appetizer and when she brought our plates out she asked if she can take the bread out our way but we said we were still eating it. So she left and she came back and asked if we’re done with the bread again so we said yeah because we got annoyed. She leaves and comes back and asks to take our appetizer away but we said we were still eating it. She left the table and we sat there eating I finished the appetizer and within a couple of seconds she swoops in and grabs the plate and takes it. We finished our meal and I paid my mother went to the restroom and the waitress came to the table and asked if my mother had left. I really don’t know why it was her concern. This was the main problem we had. The food was great we liked it. I usually have great service but not today.
