Extremely Disappointing — Chipotle Creekside, GET YOUR PORTIONS IN ORDER!
We were extremely excited to finally have a Chipotle in Creekside, but unfortunately, that excitement died after just ONE visit.
We walked in during the early part of dinner, and to our surprise, we were the ONLY customers in the entire restaurant. Not exactly an encouraging first impression, and looking back, perhaps that should have been our first red flag!
Then came the ordering experience, which was nothing short of frustrating and absolutely ridiculous.
Every single ingredient the employee scooped up, she proceeded to SHAKE OFF a significant portion before putting it into our bowls. When she scooped up my steak and shook off practically half of it, I finally asked, “What are you doing? Why are you shaking off the steak you just scooped up?”
Her response? “That’s the actual portion.”
I’m sorry, WHAT?! So you’re telling me the proper portioning method is to scoop up a reasonable amount of meat and then deliberately shake nearly half of it back into the container?
I asked her to add back what she had shaken off, and she immediately informed me that she would have to charge me for DOUBLE PROTEIN!
Absolutely unbelievable.
Honestly, I should have walked out right then and there. But at that point, I wanted to see just how ridiculous this experience could get.
And it didn’t stop with the steak! Every ingredient was handled the same way. Scoop, SHAKE OFF, repeat! I kept requesting extra portions, and she kept shaking the food off as though she was personally paying for every grain of rice, every piece of meat, and every spoonful of toppings!
And let’s talk about the guacamole. Nearly $3 EXTRA for what amounted to a tiny blob! If you’re going to charge premium prices for an add-on, at least provide a portion that remotely justifies the cost.
By the time we finished, we had spent OVER $40 FOR TWO UNDERFILLED BOWLS AND CHIPS! Forty dollars to walk away feeling shortchanged, frustrated, and completely ripped off.
What’s even more concerning is that I’ve seen people expressing similar frustrations about this location across social media, including surrounding community groups. Clearly, portion sizes and value are striking a nerve with customers.
Chipotle Creekside, GET YOUR PORTIONS IN ORDER!
Your convenient location might bring customers through the door once, but convenience alone will NOT bring them back. Customers are not asking for free food or unreasonable portions. They’re asking to receive a FAIR amount of food for the prices they’re paying.
The constant shaking off of ingredients, the stingy portions, and the attempt to charge double for simply asking to receive what was originally scooped up are absolutely unacceptable.
A brand-new location should be working to WIN customers, not giving them reasons to NEVER return!
At these prices, customers should walk away satisfied, not feeling like they’ve been cheated. If this is how you intend to operate, don’t be surprised when the excitement surrounding your opening disappears as quickly as it arrived.
You finally made it to Creekside. Now give people a reason to WANT you here.
As for us? Over $40 wasted, two disappointing bowls, and absolutely NO reason to return.
