Wasn’t too happy today. I drive about 25 min to shop here weekly and today my cart locked on me twice when I was leaving the store. The first time the manager came over and unlocked it and then when I was leaving to go out the first doors it locked again and I hit my toes /foot against the cart, very embarrassing. I had to wait there with $140 worth of groceries until someone could come unlock my cart. Why did this happen HEB? The people behind me were laughing and it wasn’t a very fun experience, made me feel like I had taken something and was being stopped because when the guy came and unlocked it he looked at my receipt, like excuse me? Do better or I will go back to Tom Thumb, geez.
This store is truly one-of-a-kind, offering a diverse selection of clean and unique products. I'm particularly fond of their fresh tortillas, which come in both flour and corn varieties. Their tortilla chips are also a highlight, and the in-store bakery is a lovely touch. The staff is helpful, the prices are great, and the overall atmosphere is spacious and welcoming. I wish they had rewards program of points earned.

I usually sing the highest praises for H-E-B, but this recent experience has really turned me away. I’ve been a loyal shopper ever since I discovered H-E-B back in college. Long before they finally expanded into the Dallas area, I would commute from Wylie all the way out to Plano and then Allen, bypassing every other grocery store along the way simply because I love H-E-B that much.
Unfortunately, I was deeply disappointed after a recent visit on August 10th when I noticed the cashier double-charged me. I managed to take a clear photo of the receipt before everything was accidentally thrown away by my son. When I contacted customer service to explain the double charge and request a refund with the photo, I was told I must bring the physical, original receipt into the store's customer service desk.
I replied explaining that I no longer have the paper receipt, and that it shouldn’t be solely on the customer to jump through hoops to rectify an error made at the register. Since sending that response, I have received complete silence. I followed up via email once more to get this sorted, but I still have not received a response.
This lack of resolution and communication has really turned me off. As much as I have loved shopping here, this makes me want to limit my trips and start frequenting the Aldi across the street instead.
I truly hope someone from H-E-B reaches out to make this right. I want nothing more than to update and increase this rating, because I genuinely love H-E-B and have been a dedicated customer for years, but customer care needs to match the quality the brand is known for.

Such a relief to have HEB semi-close. I even factored it into my decision to move 300 miles from my previous location!
The produce is always fresh and pretty, and the selection is fantastic. Fresh meats are high quality and again, great selection.
"House" brands are better than national brands in many instances and their Creamy Creations ice creams are the BEST. Staff is helpful and courteous; the only drawback for me there is that I don't speak Spanish, so can have difficulty making myself understood when I need help locating something in this enormous store. It's far enough away that I have to plan the trip and list, but it's SO worth it!

A lot of the stuff is great, but I have brought produce there 3 times and it has been on the verge of being spoilt or already spoilt. 2 watermelons and a bag of organic mini cucumber. Stock is not being checked for expiration dates and the watermelons are being tossed around. It is a problem. If I did not have to work I would bring in the cakes, i bought them Monday and they are squishy? It also looks like they should have been pulled weeks ago from the shelf.
