The way she treated me and my sister felt extremely disrespectful and discriminatory. No customer should have to feel judged or looked down on while simply trying to enjoy a meal. At 10:22 a.m., I placed a breakfast order through the Chick-fil-A app. Breakfast ends at 10:30 a.m., and the app indicated my order would be ready in approximately 10–12 minutes. Based on that information, I waited in the parking lot for the order to be prepared. The app processed my order without any issues, accepted payment, provided a pickup time, and even prompted me to notify the restaurant when I had arrived. At no point did the app indicate that my order would be canceled if I arrived after 10:30 a.m. Based on the information provided by Chick-fil-A's own ordering system, I had every reason to believe my order would be prepared and honored. When I went inside to pick up my order, I was told that I needed to have arrived before 10:30 a.m. to receive breakfast, despite placing the order before the breakfast cutoff time and following the instructions provided in the app. Instead of honoring the order or offering a reasonable solution, the order was simply canceled. What made the situation even more frustrating was how it was handled. Carlos, the employee who spoke with me, came across as dismissive from the beginning and showed little interest in understanding or resolving the issue. Rather than trying to help, the conversation felt like he was simply informing me that the order was canceled and that was the end of it. Even more disappointing was that neither of the managers on duty came to speak with me directly. Both managers remained in the background while a crew member handled the situation. As a longtime customer, I expected a manager to step in, explain the policy, acknowledge the confusion created by the app, and attempt to make things right. I've been coming to this Chick-fil-A since it opened and have generally had positive experiences here. That's why this experience was so disappointing. The issue wasn't simply the canceled breakfast order. It was the failure to stand behind an order that the app accepted, processed, and instructed me to check in for, combined with poor customer service and a lack of management involvement. If customers can place breakfast orders before 10:30 a.m., receive a pickup window after 10:30 a.m., and be prompted to check in upon arrival, then those orders should be honored. If that is not the policy, the app should clearly communicate that requirement before accepting payment. For a restaurant that has built its reputation on customer service, today's experience fell far below expectations.
