Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Melanie in the drive through is very rude. She needs to be patient. The food is disgusting, falling apart hamburger. The drinks are water and all you get is ice in it. And drive through needs to be patient when you're trying to order food, and I will let you know when i'm done ordering. Don't rush me

I am not one to write reviews. However, I was deeply uncomfortable in this location. The service was horrible. Specifically, a middle aged woman with glasses and a green vest gave the nastiest attitude I have ever witnessed. She repeatedly made annoyed expressions at my family and I when we were trying to figure out what to order. Her tone was incredibly rude and I’ll be sure to never return.

I’ve been coming to this Whataburger for about five years. I’ll be the first to admit that you usually have to double-check your order, and service can be a little slow when they’re busy. I’ve always been okay with that because I understand that things happen, especially during a rush.
However, after my experience this morning, I felt like I needed to leave a review.
To be fair, they were extremely busy, both in the drive-thru and inside. Since the drive-thru line was very long, I went inside and placed a carryout order (#37). While waiting, I noticed several customers bringing their bags back to the counter because items were missing or their orders were incorrect. That should have been my first warning.
When my order was ready, I asked a young, shorter female employee if ketchup was included in the bag. She responded, rather annoyed, “Yes,” while walking away. When I checked the bag, there was no ketchup, and one of my large fries was missing.
I finally got her attention and told her that a large fry was missing. She turned around, hurriedly grabbed a fry from the kitchen, and handed it to me. As she did, she said, “There’s already a large fry in there, but here’s another one.”
I looked at her and said, “No, look at the receipt. There are two large fries and one large onion ring. One of the large fries is missing.”
Instead of simply acknowledging the mistake, she turned around, visibly annoyed, muttered something under her breath, and walked away.
If I hadn’t been in a hurry, I would have asked for a manager because the attitude was completely unnecessary. Mistakes happen—I understand that. What I don’t understand is being treated rudely when I’m simply pointing out an item that was paid for but missing from my order.
And unfortunately, it didn’t end there. When I got home, I discovered that both my burger and my chicken sandwich were made incorrectly as well.
I’ve continued coming here for five years despite the occasional slow service or incorrect item, but this experience was different. Being busy is understandable. Mistakes are understandable. Being dismissive and rude to customers who are simply trying to get the order they paid for is not.
