Very disappointing experience at Jimmy John's located at 5830 Highway 6 on 6/3/2026 at 3:16 PM (Reg 4, TKR 502, Check #68).
I placed my order through the drive-thru and requested that my sandwich be toasted. Before I even received my food, I noticed that something wasn't right, so I tried to get the attention of the employee working the window. He was still visible in the window, but completely ignored me.
I even honked my horn to get someone's attention because I was trying to catch the mistake before the sandwich was finished. Another employee eventually came to the window and seemed irritated that I was trying to get assistance. He told me the sandwich had already been made, but that was exactly the problem—I was trying to get someone's attention before everyone finished making the food because I wanted my sandwich toasted.
When I finally received my order, it was clear that several instructions had been missed. I requested no tomatoes, extra mayo, extra oregano and basil, and oil and vinegar. Instead, my sandwich had extra tomatoes, barely any mayo, and none of the extra seasonings or oil and vinegar that I requested.
The store did offer to remake the sandwich, and I appreciate that. However, after being ignored and then feeling like I was inconveniencing the staff by trying to correct my order, I declined. The interaction left such a bad impression that I no longer felt confident that my order would be handled correctly.
To be fair, I visited another Jimmy John's location the day before and had excellent food and customer service, which is why this experience was so disappointing. Mistakes happen, but ignoring customers and making them feel like a problem when they're simply trying to get the order they paid for is unacceptable.
I left feeling frustrated and disappointed.
