Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

In 20 years living in Texas I can honestly say I’ve been to 100’s of different locations around the state and this one is by far the worst. Service has been slow numerous times but tonight was the worst. I’m still in line after paying for my meal 30 minutes. I’ve pulled forward and have been waiting for 30 minutes. 5 different cars behind have taken off after being yelled at by the staff but I can’t drive off because I’ve already paid. So now I’m stuck here in the front of the store waiting for food that may never come. I ordered a taquito and hash brown. That’s literally 3 ingredients. When I asked for picante sauce they said they don’t have that here. I said the hot sauce and she said yea I know. I’m blown away at the level of disrespect and incompetence of this location and it truly ruins the whataburger brand.
