Street Style Tacos
Served with limes, cilantro, and raw onions on the side.
Me and my wife decided to try it out since the place was relatively new. We both got the burritos and churros and they were excellent. Prices seem to be relative to everywhere else so I had no issues with it. Also the sauce they delivered with our burritos was fantastic. For me just hot enough and a nice kick.

Not the exact same as my favorite Tacos El Gordo in Las Vegas, but this place is solid! Tacos are fantastic and fast with very friendly service.

Went there for lunch exited to try it and left really disappointed. Ordered Birria tacos and a gringa trompo. The tacos were ok but the gringa felt like they barely warmed it up and the meat tasted awful like it was raw/old. Service was good and place was clean but overall not a good experience

This place is five stars out of five. I’ve been eating at Tacos El Gordo for about 9 years, ever since the original McKinney location, and I’m glad the same owners opened one in Melissa. The meat is always high quality, the restaurant is clean, and the bar is excellent. If you think the tacos are bland, you’re probably not dressing them the way they’re meant to be—add the onions, cilantro, lime, salt, and salsa to bring out the full flavor. The tortas are perfect! If you’re looking for authentic street tacos made with quality ingredients, this place is definitely worth a visit.

Went Today, on a Wednesday at 5:30pm. There was only one other person in the place eating. That should have been a redflag. Had the steak burrito and steak tacos. Best thing about the whole meal was the green sauce and that just isnt enough. Meat was over cooked and both items where to dry to eat without water. Tasted like it had been under a heat lamp all day. For over the $20 I spent on the food pictured I was underwhelmed and wont be back for this when there are so many other better eating options in town
