  HONEST review. The food is not good. The garlic naan was too fried and not soft and fluffy. The butter naan was way too buttery (could get a heart attack eating the whole thing) there was not enough meat on the drum sticks. Mango lassi was all yogurt and no mango taste. This place is just for ambiance but not worth the expensive price for good Indian food

  Expensive not worth it. It’s not fine dine it’s an over priced Indian restaurant . We ordered the tandoori platter the chicken was chewy not tender. Neither the other dishes were good . Skip it and save money and time and peace of mind .

  Weekend lunch at Tantra Modern Indian bistro felt like stepping into a cozy, vibrant food haven. The moment we walked in, the ambience set the tone — warm lights, earthy décor, and a friendly team that made us feel instantly at home. Tantra gave us a weekend lunch worth remembering — the kebab platter was a flavour bomb, paneer tikka soft and smoky, gravies creamy and indulgent, mocktails refreshing, and that baingan rice… a dish that deserves its own spotlight. Loved the ambience, loved the people, loved the experience. Started with their signature kebab platter — smoky, juicy, perfectly charred pieces that melt the moment you bite in. The paneer tikka followed, soft and flavour‑packed, with that beautiful tandoor aroma. A comforting soup, refreshing mocktails, and soft breads paired with rich, creamy gravies made the meal feel indulgent in the best way. But the surprise star? Their baingan rice — aromatic, flavourful, and so unique that it instantly became a favourite. Desserts were the sweetest ending, each one crafted with care and balance. Tantra Bistro truly delivered an amazing weekend experience — great food, beautiful location, and staff who make the whole visit feel special.

  It took us a while to get seated since there was no hostess at the front so we just awkwardly looked around trying to find someone to seat us. Food was extremely bland, and the meat quality wasn't very good either. In our appetizer the "boneless" chicken pieces had multiple small bones in it. The kebab platter was cold and had pretty much no salt or spices. The butter chicken was just meh, not good but not bad. Service wasn't the best either, it took quite a while to call someone over if anything was needed. The dessert was delicious though! We tried the chocolate cake and it was amazing! Over priced and not recommended!

  We were a party of three and had looked forward to trying Tantra for the first time. On a positive note, the curries are flavorful. Now the negative. In our minds, the dishes were a little skimpy on the protein portions. The little cup of basmati rice we had to purchase to accompany our three dishes was overpriced. Service was terrible! When we arrived at approximately 7 PM (and when we left), there were no other patrons in the restaurant. We stood at the front counter for a few minutes waiting to be seated. There was staff around, just no one who seemed overly excited for business. There was a guy sitting outside the front door when we walked in who didn’t bother to come in and greet us. He was sitting in a chair so close to the door that it crowded our entry into the restaurant. There was another guy literally laying in one of the booths on a FaceTime call with the speaker on who only noticed us because we looked over the top of the booth and said something. After making our presence known a third guy finally came out of the kitchen and seated us. During the meal we had to ask twice for a first refill on tap water. We didn’t get a second refill although all three of our cups were completely empty for the latter half of our meal until the time we left. Not sorry but, I got offended when I learned this place charges an automatic 15% gratuity for parties of less than 5 and 22% for larger parties- especially given the service we actually received. If you want an automatic gratuity you better provide excellent service. Tips or gratuities by definition are voluntary. Really unprofessional and entitled. There are lots of options out there. We will vote no by not going back.
