I’ve been wanting to eat dinner here since it first opened! We came out for my girlfriends birthday, there were five of us and were so excited! We drive 40 minutes away to have an enjoyable dinner. When we arrived at 6pm, we were the only party there. We ordered a apps to start paneer kabob and heavenly pepper mushrooms. They were alright definitely not worth the “high end price” nothing out of the ordinary and barely any chutney. Also both items had the same tiny bit of chutney. You would think paneer kabob for $22 would have enough paneer to feed 2-4 people as an appetizer. For dinner we ordered malai kofta, paneer tikka masala which are classic North Indian items. The malai kofta tasted cheesy like melted cheddar cheese what? Also both curries were super salty. We also ordered fried rice which costed $21 and ended up being white rice with random veggies like a dry pulao with some sort of soy sauce on top. It was whatever. My favorite part of the dinner was the naan because it tasted normal, everything else was pretty terrible. I do not give out bad reviews and most Indian food places high end or not, have pretty standard recipes. If Tantra is trying to offer something unique, they need to really work on finding a better menu. We paid $18 for a slice of cake that tasted way too sweet and a lot of cream. What a waste, in what world does dessert cost more than an alcoholic beverage? My last complain is that the service was terrible. We sat down and ordered apps. We got dinner ordered like few minutes after the apps arrived. No one came to refill our waters or ask for any beverage refills. No one cleared out our dirty places when we were don’t and ordered dessert. The dessert arrived with no spoons. We mentioned it was a birthday so obviously we wanted to grab a picture, we had to stack our dirty plates on the side to get one and crop. The waiter did not want to grab the dishes because they had some other person grab plates which makes no sense. The restaurant is tiny, there is no way we should have sat there for 2 hours waiting for service when we were the only folks there from 6-730 atleast and ordered everything timely and immediately. The bathrooms are terrible the door is very difficult to open you have to pull with all your strength, I can imagine a child getting locked in there and screaming to get out. Super creepy! Anyway, I was not pleased at all with this place and would not recommend it to my friends. Now I have to go to a classic Indian place to get my cravings settled. Thanks for wasting my time and money Tantra. The atmosphere outside was gorgeous and the village is beautiful. If you go there maybe check out other places near by or swing by here for “fancy” drinks.

We visited as a party of 8 (4 adults and 4 kids) and were seated right at 1:00 PM. While the food itself was actually good and flavorful, the service model and speed were incredibly frustrating. Instead of serving our table together, the kitchen brought the food out one single dish at a time. It took them until 3:00 PM—two full hours after sitting down—just to get everyone's orders out to the table. Managing hungry kids for two hours while dishes trickle out one by one is no easy task. If you are dining as a group, be prepared for very slow service. The kitchen handles the flavors well, but they seriously need to improve their timing and coordination for parties larger than two. To make matters worse, we repeatedly asked to speak with the manager or owner to address the delay, but they refused to come forth or face us. The lack of accountability from leadership was worse than the slow kitchen. The chefs know how to cook, but the front-of-house and management severely lack basic customer service skills. I would not recommend this place for families or groups.

Decided to check the spot out for Father’s Day. Was excited to come in after looking at the menu online only to be super disappointed because they had a limited menu, with no indication anywhere on their website or their online ordering platform. When I inquired about it they said their kitchen staff was unable to prepare the food 🙃. The food we ordered took a long time to come out and was subpar at best.

Been there a long time ago but I remember the food was quite decent and the view was amazing. Very calm and relaxing feeling. Presentation and ambience were top notch.

We really enjoyed the dramatic ambiance of this restaurant. The space feels intimate, scenic, and inviting, with a presentation style that makes the dining experience feel special. The Apollo fish appetizer was delicious, and we loved the way it was presented. The mixed kabab platter also had a very impressive hanging skewer presentation, which looked dramatic and memorable. However, the taste of the kababs did not feel as authentic as we expected, so that area could use some improvement. We really enjoyed the authentic flavor of the fried rice, Grand Korma, and garlic naan. The Lychee Kiss martini was also commendable and nicely balanced. The main area for improvement would be the service. For a modern bistro with such a beautiful atmosphere and strong food presentation, the service should feel more polished and attentive. I hope management focuses more on staff training so the overall experience matches the restaurant’s ambiance and concept. Overall, it is a beautiful place with good food, creative presentation, and strong potential. I would recommend others give it a try.
