  I used self checkout today because the lines for the live cashiers were really long. I told the young lady running the self checkout that I had never used it before and might need help. No response at all, not even a nod. I asked her, "Do you speak English?" Again, nothing. I found out she did speak English when two of my items would not scan. She said to put them aside and she would deal with them later. It turned out her shift was almost over, and she obviously could care less about customers. I think H-E-B should make her shift over permanently! The young man who replaced her was fantastic! It was like the difference between night and day. He dealt with my items that would not scan since the female worker had already walked away. FIRE HER!

  The fat person’s friend. Tons of premade food, with some healthy choices strewn about in a grocery store reminiscent of Meijer or Ito Yokado.

  I usually shop at HEB but this particular trip was different. Asked the butcher to thinly slice a steak (no bone) for a recipe I was attempting and needless to say, the butcher refused and gave an off-the-wall response. Mainly he spoke of the steak losing its flavor…Went to a completely different grocery store and they were able to thinly slice this specific steak with no problems or excuses.

  I had such a wonderful experience at H-E-B Eldorado this morning while doing my grocery shopping. I especially want to recognize Tamika at the checkout. She greeted me with a genuine smile and such a positive energy that immediately made my morning better. What stood out to me the most was watching her work with the two young men assisting her with bagging. She was so patient and encouraging while teaching them how to bag the groceries properly. I had just bought two new plants, and she carefully showed them how to handle and bag them so they wouldn’t get damaged. She never seemed rushed or frustrated she simply taught them with kindness and respect while still doing an absolutely awesome job taking care of her customer. It may seem like a small moment during an ordinary grocery trip, but it really stayed with me. Sometimes a job is more than just a job. Giving someone the opportunity to work, learn new skills, contribute, and feel valued can make a much bigger impact than we realize. And having someone like Tamika there to patiently teach and encourage them makes that opportunity even more meaningful. Thank you, Tamika , for the amazing service and, more importantly, for showing what kindness, patience, and good leadership look like. H-E-B is lucky to have you. You truly made my morning! ❤️

  I was in line today and my bill was 30.00. I forgot I that I left my wallet in my car. I had the lady cancel my order so I can to go get my wallet. I was waiting and she turned to me and told me it was all paid for. I was definitely confused. This never happen to me usually I am the one paying it forward. I told her I would be right back to pay her. She said she wouldn't be here. I ran out to the car got my wallet and went to the ATM. I pulled out 40.00 and found her as she was walking to go on break. She finally took it and I told her to pay the balance forward. God bless her. There is hope.....
