A Must-Visit for Gamers and D&B Fans!
If you think this is just another Dave & Buster’s, think again. I spoke directly with the General Manager, who confirmed that this new McKinney location is an official game test store. That means brand-new games roll out here first to test their popularity before hitting other Dave & Buster’s locations across Texas!
Compared to the Frisco store, the game selection here is noticeably larger and more diverse. They converted traditional restaurant space into gaming space, so the arcade floor itself feels massive, super clean, and really open.
The overall vibe is modern, open-concept, and bright, and the staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful throughout our visit. Hands down the best spot in the DFW area right now if you want to try out the newest games before anyone else!
We visited Dave & Buster’s on Sunday and had a great time! All the food we ordered tasted very good, and the games were new and fun. This location is also very spacious. I think it may even be bigger than the Frisco location.
There are just a couple of things that could be improved. First, the music was extremely loud. It was so loud that our server had trouble hearing us, and we had to repeat ourselves several times.
The lady who first helped us was very kind and tried to find us a table. However, another employee spoke to her very rudely and told her, “Don’t sit there.” We were shocked by the way she spoke to the employee who was helping us.
The second employee then gave us a high top table with tall chairs, even though we had young children. We were worried that our kids might fall, so we immediately asked the first lady if we could switch tables. There were many empty regular tables available, so we did not understand why a family with young children was assigned a high top table.
Overall, we loved the food, the games, and the large space, but the music volume and table management could definitely be improved.

Started out great. Team was nice and we elected to start with food. We were told we could leave our food at the table after we ate to play games. We came back, and our leftovers and drinks were gone. With 5 kids, we took all 7 of our game cards (spent over $300) to the counter to get the tickets calculated to split between the kids. We were given a total amount that then wasn’t the same amount that we had at the end? After looking back at our receipt, I see the kid charged us for different items that we didn’t even get.
Overall, the experience wasn’t worth the price we paid. Team tried, but between the food being taken after we were told that we could leave it (we had multiple boxes of leftovers) drinks being taken, no receipt for the food, and being charged incorrectly for tickets - I’ll take my business somewhere else.
P.S. the games didn’t work multiple times when charging the cards or full games had no materials (balls/rings/ect). Incredible disappointment.
Highlight - Food was great. Had the Philly, Burger, Chicken sandwich, Chicken tenders, wings, and fries.

I was really disappointed in our visit. The long awaited trip all summer to take our children here for some fun. We walked in and it was so loud we couldn't have a conversation at the table. 3 out of 5 meals were not great and 1 had to be fully returned (don't get the wings, kids pizza, or kids cheese quesadilla). The burger and mac and cheese were the winners. You could tell the staff was new because there were several occasions they were confused on what was happening and had to get a manager to step in (restaurant and the prize area). The cotton candy machine took our money but gave us no cotton candy. We waited about 20 minutes while they tried to fix it before we finally asked if they could just give us a refund, which was also a difficult process. When we ordered the food we ordered the food and play but then realized the 20% tip added was off both the games and food cost, so the tip was triple what it should have been, but maybe thats supposed to be that way? Overall the games were fun and good. Best deal was the $55 unlimited play. We left happy but definitely wish things went a little smoother.
We decided to go to the new location to try it out since it just opened. We walked in with bag of out side food for our little one. ( our little one is autistic) so we walked in we're greeted by some of the hostess upfront. We asked if we can get a table for 3. They said sure, got the menus and were ready to walk us to our table but im not sure if the lady in the back standing behind the hostess was the head of the hostess but she whispered to them " let them know they aren't allowed to bring outside food " so the hostess turned around and politely told me " im sorry but you can't bring outside food " so I told her the reasoning behind why we brought in outside food. We told them my little one is autistic and will not eat any other food other than whats in the bag. The hostess then says " ok, let me tell her " she did, and the the " main " hostess comes up to us and told us the same thing and I again, told her why. She refused to listen so I asked for a manager. Now this is the part that got me upset. She told me " why are you gonna ask for a manager if they're gonna tell you the same thing. I politely told her, " well, I want them to tell me." So a female manager came and right behind her was a male manager. I told the female manager about the situation and right away was like " I totally understand and its ok, but can you tell him ( the male manager) what you told me. I said " sure" the male manager right away understood everything. He made everything a good dining experience with our little one. If dave and buster is reading this " valentin Perez " did an outstanding job taking care of us. Especially with our little one.
