- MMMurse1Jul 27, 20263.0I recently ate at the HEB Texas True BBQ and was disappointed with the food selection I ordered. The El Jefe sandwich. Probably needs to be renamed El Meh-fe. I could not chew through the sausage. At first I thought it was an uncooked sausage but it was not. I removed the sausage from the sandwich and the brisket and slaw were good. I have eaten at HEB several times in the past but the El Meh-fe was just that meh-fe. I bit off the mark. Service was great and was quick.

I waited over 25 minutes for my order, and this isn’t the first time it’s happened here. I placed my order more than 24 hours in advance, but was still told the delay was because they were working on the “bulk items” in my order— turned out to be just a 12-pack of bottled water. Consistently long wait times make curbside much less convenient than it should be…
