I visited the store after placing a pickup order through the app. The app indicated that my order had not gone through and was still in my cart, but I had a bank transaction confirming that I had been charged. I went into the store hoping someone could help me resolve the issue, especially since I had proof of the charge and never received my order. When I explained the situation to the employee, I felt dismissed rather than helped. I showed her my bank transaction, including the date and time of the charge, but she repeatedly told me that it didn’t look like I had placed an order. I understand that the order may not have appeared in the store’s system, but being told that I hadn’t placed an order when I had clearly been charged made me feel as though I wasn’t being believed. No one offered a refund or an alternative solution, and I ultimately left without my food or a resolution. What made the experience even more upsetting was that I was already having a very difficult day before arriving. I was visibly emotional and began crying out of frustration, and I apologized and explained that I was having a bad day. Instead of showing understanding or trying to help me work through the issue, I was told to “calm down.” I was not trying to take my frustration out on anyone; I was simply overwhelmed and trying to resolve a problem involving money I had been charged. I acknowledge that I could have handled my frustration better, and I regret leaving the way I did. However, I also believe that customer service should involve patience, understanding, and a willingness to find solutions. I came in with proof of a charge and a legitimate concern, yet I left feeling unheard, invalidated, and without the order I paid for or a refund. I hope the team can improve how these situations are handled and provide better support when online orders fail to process correctly.

Went in today and ordered 6 bagels and a drink. They were busy so I knew I would have to wait a bit. It took just shy of 30 minutes to get my bagels. People that came in at least 5-10 minutes after me who ordered sandwiches got their food before me. To top things off when I got home and took out my bagels I realized that two of the flavors I ordered were not in the bag. In it's place were 3 of the same bagels. I'm assuming that they ran out of those two flavors before my order was filled but not once was I asked if that was okay or if I wanted to choose a different flavor. Oh and my bag had creamcheese on the outside. Very disappointed.

Service is horrible. Staff doesn’t know what they are doing. Encountered a problem with asst manager baked Monica. Was asked to wait for a pull apart bagel daddy down and waited for 25 minutes never came. Had to address her snot the bagel and she was told that we were given the bagel which was not true then proceeded to hand me a bag and said “ it was here waiting for you, rudely”! I took it she never apologized I sat down gave it to my granddaughter which was for her, it was the wrong bagel. I took it back up and told her, she snatched it out of my hand tossed it in the trash and warmed up a pull apart and handed me the bag and did not say a word. This was the most absolute unprofessional customer service. I was so elated to know that we were getting an Einstein bagel here but they could have picked better employees with some etiquette. Disappointed please fits the problem or hire better employees that know what they are doing and that we are paying for our food that are not giving it to us.

So, with any new business, there will be growing pains. Such seems to be the case with the Manvel location at hwy 6 and 288. I have NEVER been to an Einstein bagels but my wife had a 'free breakfast sandwich' offer sent to her on facebook. I myself was just going along for the company. When I got there, it wasn't what I thought it was all these years-I thought you just had a useless mega-assortment of bagels to choose from. I didn't know they offered breakfast sandwiches, etc. (outside of what the facebook coupon showed), some pastries and your normal ice-coffee, etc. So that was a surprise. If you haven't been, you enter the door, and across the room is the 'Order Here' sign. Directly to your left of the entrance is an empty cabinet with slots of sorts with 'Pickup' on it. So if you don't know better, you'd assume you 'Order Here' and 'Pickup' at the cabinet. Unless you'd be told otherwise...and we weren't. By the way, there is no such thing as free in this world just like your momma told you and that is the case here-you have to buy one to get the free sandwich and it doesn't say it anywhere on the facebook coupon. So, wanting my wife to enjoy the reason we came, I ordered one as well. I'll spare you the severe details but for the most part, tons of confusion you could see on most orders. Turns out, you do 'Order Here' but the 'Pickup' is for online orders or Ubereats. I only found that out from asking an actual Ubereats driver that grabbed his meal. It would help that the order takers 'educate' those that might not know how its going to go from that moment forward. Otherwise, like us, you'd nervously be looking and checking the 'Pickup' cubicles for your order. Lots of instances of orders being wrong or the coffee's not being correct apparently. A few frustrating notes... From ordering to getting the order it took about 25 minutes. In the end, if you're wanting me to come back, after I ate the sandwich it really was nothing to write home about and my wife agreed. I'll wait 25 minutes for a sandwich that blows my socks off but this, no. One other note-when your order is ready for the 'To Go' crowd, they will announce your name you give during the ordering. I would recommend you get someone that has some 'oomph' in their voice. The young lad that was doing the name callouts had to do it three or four times to finally say it loud enough to get the customer's attention. Either get someone that isn't embarrassed to get loud or get a head set with a microphone and some kind of loudspeaker setup? BUT...in their defense, its what, a few weeks now since they opened? A nice customer we spoke to apparently had come around opening time a few weeks back and said the line was around the walls of the shop and out the door. Today, not so much so but she did say they had more help this time. To sum it up, if you love Einstein Bagels, this won't deter you. If you never have been, maybe wait a few more weeks and give it a try so they can get more kinks ironed out.

3.5/5 I wanted so badly to write a good review for this place. But after today's experience I'm knocking it down to a 3.5. Food was amazing though. Creme Brulee Iced Coffee 5/5 I had low expectations for their coffee, as it is a bagel place. But was pleasantly surprised. I'm usually not a fan of super sweet drinks, but their coffee was the perfect amount of sweetness and coffee. Green Chile Bagel w/ Honey Almond Shmear 6/5 Favorite combo so far. Love the green chile bagel. Not spicy at all and love the combination of a chile bagel with a slight sweet tasty flavor of the honey almond shmear. Cheesy Hash Brown Gourmet Bagel w/ Onion and Chive Shmear 3/5 The name of the bagel is intriguing, but the actual taste was mid. It wasn't bad. Just nothing unique and average. Didn't taste much potato/hash brown flavor. Same with the onion and chive shmear. I'd save your money on this bagel and try another flavor. Service This is my only complaint. The first time I went was during the first week of opening, and the line was almost at the entrance door, so I immediately left. Came back yesterday on a Saturday around 1 pm. Wait time was great. Maybe 4 ppl ahead of us and maybe a 5 minute wait to the cashier. But the wait was there not because the cashier was slow, but because some customers just didn't know what to choose, including myself. They were out of lemonade but the cashier was so sweeet and presented other options like coffee, which I denied, but I asked for iced water instead and she asked if my toddler wanted water too and I said yes. I thought this was so sweet of her. After placing the order, I barely took 3 sips of my water and my order was ready. Came back today around 11:30 am on a Sunday, but this time placed an order on their app. I ordered a Pumpkin Crunch Bagel w/ Honey Almond Shmear at 11:17. Email said should be ready around 11:37. When I arrived there, it was super busy. There was no where to sit, so I had to hold my toddler while waiting with others in the pick up order area. My annoyance was that I was waiting there and didn't want to bother anyone because it was so busy. But now it's 11:45 and i'm thinking well my order should be ready and so i started looking around their counter and saw like 6 receipts, some with a drink on top of it. Then i saw a red circle on one of my receipts and started squinting, come to realize it was my receipt. So I had to flag down one of their busy staff to ask about it. She said they didn't have my pumpkin bagel, which is fine. Although I wish the app told me that it was out of stock (but this is an app problem). She offered me another bagel and i chose the green chile bagel. She handed me a cold bagel, with no schmear, it was not cut, and it was not toasted. So I had to flag her down again, and ask for my honey almond schmear and for it to be toasted and she replied there would be a wait, so i sad nvm. Improvements: Ya'll need better training on staff. I don't blame the staff, this is a management issue. Train your staff to pay attention to what the customers ordered. Don't forget their schmear. You guys need to pre-cut your bagels. It will probably improve the wait time. Put a chalk board in front to let customers know what you don't have in stock. The two times I ordered. You guys were out of stock of lemonade and pumpkin bagel, which then led to me to have to think of something else to order, which leads to longer wait time. Most Importantly: If I placed an online order and one of the items are out of stock. Put my drink in the pick up shelf along with the receipt and circle what was not available. Who knows how long I would have mindlessly waited there not knowing that my coffee was ready and that I just needed to order a different type of bagel. This place has the potential to be great. Staff is so friendly and I can see how hard everyone is working. So Kudos to the staff. Food is great too. Will be coming back and I hope the wait time will improve.
