We’re from out of town and came to visit on a recommendation.
Our server was Lorie A and she was incredible! Very attentive, checked on us often and gave great recommendations. She was also patient with us reviewing the menu and asking questions.
We were not disappointed at all with the food.
- First off we got the brisket bowl which was very yummy - seasoned nicely with melty cheese, flavorful onion rings and chopped up veggies that added such a nice crunch and variety of flavors throughout.
- We also had the hot honey chicken biscuit. The biscuit was fluffy and dense. Tasted like a regular biscuit, I think it could’ve had more hot honey but I also didn’t ask for it! It was good regardless, had the tiniest kick. Chicken was thick and fried well.
Loaded hashbrowns were a bit spicy but so freaking good(!)
- We also ordered the fresh strawberry croissant French toast, it came with 4 pieces with vanilla icing and powdered sugar. Very yummy, the bottoms were nice and toasted, tops were fluffy and airy. We didn’t need any syrup.
Today was my first time trying this cafe and I was not disappointed by the food my favorite so far is their French toast! However, I believe customer service is equally important and can say I was disappointed by one of their waiters.
I ordered an omelet to go, and when I got home to eat it, I had to throw it away; the cheese was rancid

While we had always enjoyed toasted yolk at other locations, this location is terrible. When we were seated at our table, it was apparent the table was not wiped off because there were still crumbs from the customers before us. There was a mess ALL over the wall of our booth that clearly hasn’t been cleaned for a while (see photo). We waited for our food for nearly 2 HOURS! The floors were incredibly sticky and we later found out why, our waitress spilt half of the pitcher of sweet tea on the floor when refilling a cup and did not even attempt to clean it up (talk about a slipping hazard). This location really needs to step in up in terms of cleanliness and service, absolutely a disgrace.

We're a fan of Toasted Yolks and this place is convenient, the staff friendly and the food is good. The problem is that it is always freezing. My wife and office staff won't come back and instead we have to drive to the location off of 99. What's weird, is you can hear customers (and staff) talk about it, mention it, and it remains a deep freezer. It would appear they do not have the ability to adjust. Bring your biggest coat :-)
