Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Went to Whataburger around 4 PM today and ordered a #1, plain and dry with mustard, and added cheese. Got my burger and, of course, there was no cheese on it.
I went back up and explained the mistake. Instead of simply remaking the burger, the employee asked if I cared if she just brought me a little container with cheese….. Why am I getting a single slice of cheese on the side to fix your mistake?
What really made it worse was the attitude. Mistakes happen, I get that, but the way it was handled felt unprofessional and like they just wanted to get me out of the way instead of actually fixing my order.
Definitely not the experience I expected from Whataburger. Hopefully they do better next time.

Absolutely horrible experience. This place clearly does not treat tourists the same as everyone else. I waited 40 MINUTES for my food! After placing my order, I sat down, and at least four families who arrived AFTER me got their food before I did.
I finally went up to the cashier to ask about my order, and her response was simply, “Oops, I think your order got lost.” 🙃 Okay… I went back to my table, and then TWO more families arrived and, once again, got their food before me.
So apparently my order was lost, but somehow everyone who ordered after me had no problem getting their food.
Terrible service and an even worse experience. Definitely not coming back.
.
Horrible experiencia.

I come to this Whataburger pretty frequently since it’s the nearest to me I always do curbside since it’s easier for me, but almost every single time I’ve had to wait nearly 30-40 minutes for my food and for them to still make a mistake on my order! I've called previous times while waiting for my food to cancel and get a refund for them to refuse a refund and come out quite fast now with my order and tell me they’re sorry it had just been sitting there and didn’t know what happened!!! Nobody should have to wait that amount of time on curbside order and top of that get cold food!!

Terrible experience. Seems like this location prioritizes drive-thru over dine-in.
Waited for 20 mins for a double WB Jr., watching people order after me get their food, I decide to ask for my money back to leave. As I wait for my turn, I see my order sitting on the counter. It was ready, just waiting for someone to deliver it, most likely cold.
Manager completely understood, gives me the $10 back and asks if I want the food anyway. I said yes, if it’s free. She’s says yes it’s free. But the delivery girl had already tossed it. They were going to make me another one, to their credit.
Funniest part was there were more employees inside the store than customers, seriously never seen so many in this little bitty Whataburger. 20+ employees and they’re still slooooooow.
