I ordered a chili cheese footlong. It was the toughest hot dog I've ever try to eat. After 2 bites i just threw it in the trash. Couldn't get anything fried because their fryer was down. Shake was good but the food was terrible. I'll never go back.

I have always respected Sonic’s national reputation for service, but my experience with the manager at the South 1st St. location in Lufkin was appalling.
After a DoorDash error, I called the store—not to complain or ask for money, but to offer a "coaching moment" for the staff. During the call, I shared that I am dealing with PTSD and the recent loss of my wife and son, explaining that I wasn’t upset because I’ve learned to prioritize what matters in life.
The manager failed to hang up the phone properly and I overheard him mocking my PTSD and my personal situation to his employees, saying I "wouldn't shut up." When I went to the store to address this directly and calmly, he became argumentative, escalated the situation, and refused to apologize.
Mocking a customer's mental health and personal tragedies is a massive failure in leadership. This manager is a poor representation of the Sonic brand. I hope ownership takes this seriously, as no one should be ridiculed for their vulnerability.

If there was a 0 star id put it this sonic has lost all respect from me and i recommend no one go here if you want your order to be right. Its been 3 times in a row now and im done with them i gave them chances and they failed every time. All i did was order a bacon cheese burger. Got a cheese burger no bacon no nothing its just ridiculous the burger is basically trash because my blood is boiling its a damn bacon burger not else id be happier if youd forgot the damn cheese theres 2 things i ask to have on my burger bacon and cheese and every time its just cheese

2 time in a row i order the easiest burger ever and both times no bacon id get it if maybe there was a lot on them but it was 2 sauces and bacon and each time no bacon i paid for it i just dont get how its so hard to no mess up a burger especially when they are not busy in the slightest
