Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
I've eaten here many times. Usually the food has been great. Fresh hot and quick. Today it wasn't. The hamburger was cool and the bun was hard. I was very disappointed.

July 27, 2026 at around 10 pm. Store clean, staff friendly. Nine patrons dining including myself and a steady flow of traffic at the drive through window. 10 min. wait on my burger and onion rings. The onion rings were like they usually are at any Whataburger, a little greasy and I expected that. Some of the veggies were stuck to the patty upon opening up the burger so I re-arranged them and added a little bit of black pepper. The cook added a perfect amount of mustard. It was a little to much to consume, I should have ordered a single patty burger and I usually can eat a lot! Burger 5 star for fast food. Onion rings, well, you can't really get good onion rings at any fast food chain 3 1/2 star. Girl at the counter and bringing the food and condiments out to the table 10 stars!
