  Not that busy. Ordered steak and reddish for my wife. Steak was significantly undercooked and when brought back was an actual boot. Redfish was dry. Service was OK, had to wait forever for drinks even though it was nowhere near busy. Just go to Texas Roadhouse.

  Love the atmosphere quieter than most steak houses . The service was ok. They were nice and friendly. The girl was in trianing but they served us unsweet tea and they were kinda slow . We tried the fried asparagus it was VERY hard.My steak was good and it was cooked right , my ribs were also good and the bourbon bacon was absolutely the best part of the meal. My husband steak was not cooked right. By the time our food got there we were just ready to eat and go.

  The booth we sat at ,at 11am was gross still had left over bread and shrimp legs inside the booth did nobody clean before closing? My husband was talked into the ribs the waitress in her own words said it was 'off the chain' service was good came fairly quick he started to eat the ribs they was tough as a boot not even near coming close to falling off the bone when the waitress came back she asked how the ribs was he said not as good as u advertised, i want to be clear we arent the type of people to keep sending meals back because people tamper with them just because ,the waitress asked if he wanted to talk to the manager at the point we was just settling had been there a bit told her he'd work with what he already had on his plate i was half way thru my meal as well when the manager came up asking if she could comp the meal he showed her u cut barley cut the ribs with the knife they provided the only solution she offered then was to cook another set and waite for them ,we had just spent 2 hrs doing medical that morning, we was not waiting for more ribs ,when we got the receipt and added the dessert to go im just saying something taken off would have been nice but expecting customers to beg for it on their ticket ? This was the first and last experience at salt grass when u can go to chillies and get better ribs than a steak house someone needs to learn to cook and having the manager tell u she tried the ribs 2 weeks before and they was great doesn't help the fact these ribs he ordered would not come off the bone

  This place has its ups and downs since being in Longview but as of mid 2026, it's a top consideration in a town full of restaurants, banks, gyms, and car washes. It's hard to get real excited in Longview Texas about anything, but this is a great place for dinner.

  Aug.5th was my birthday, I wanted to go somewhere nice. The salad and baked sweet potato was good. I ordered chicken strips and they tasted old, brought them home to see if I could season them and hopefully eat them, it was a no. I only eat turkey or chicken. My date had the chicken fried steak and it wasn't cooked long enough or something. The service was good. Kinda ruined my birthday dinner there.
