Julia/Julie mexican lady very painted dark hair (i'm mexican too I'm not racist, just describing this individual) This is my second encounter with her being rude I didnt leave a review the first time, beacuse the workers on the floor were great & helpful everytime i come! I do understand everyone has bad days unfortunately I come to an conclusion that that is not the case on 8-13-26 Julia was Very rude she needs reassurance/ retraining on customer service & on Government issued id's (paper temporarily issued, signed by dmv) that are acceptable BY LAW I have managed hotels and retail & worked in Governnment jobs, Inspections, for a little over a decade so I know whats allowed! However, I like to organize my groceries and always put the alcohol in the back because it gives me time to get my id/Dl out & convenient for the cashier so they dont have to stop until the very end so, Julia then proceeded to only see the alcohol after the 140 dollars of groceries placed in front of it & asked for my id I pulled out my paper temporary license ,and off the back, she didn't exam nor grab it, she just said oh we can't take those, i then proceeded with my knowledge "yes you can, it is government issue & is valid" she argued with me stating no im not taking it , so I set it on the counter, she still did not grab it, I simply asked her when we get to it to ask a manager, I have used it the week before in this heb.. she ignored me & she had yet to scan 1 item & was now holding up the customers behind me who were trying to put there groceries on the roller, in the middle of not scanning, Julia kindly greeting other customers she actually new from the town & smiling, I felt offended because as a paying customer I should have gotten that treatment while she was scanning & then delt with the Alcohol when we got to it.. she continued to call Mngt no answers she looked around no managers until a few moments later 2 registers down a blonde younger lady came over Julia started scanning, the manager took the paper government issued DL, examined it once the manager sorted that out she gave it back to me, but once the manager left, Julia stopped scanning & proceeded to ask for my Paper Id/DL back, she stated because, "she didn't see the date of birth" I let her know , "you rudely refused to grab it and exam it in the beginning" and i told her the date of birth 2x because she didnt hear me the first, she pretended to type in the date of birth & scanned my fruits instead, she then, rolled her eyes and said I won't remember that! Being that she was still in the very beginning of scanning my groceries and it was at the very end, I simpy told her "the manager verified it for you, im glad to repeat the date of birth again when u scan the alcohol" I'm guessing the bagger got fed up of her continuously stopping and left to help where she could, so I bagged the rest of my groceries, which is fine, once Julia was done scanning she seen me bagging proceeded to tell me my total twice & grabbed my strawberries & blueberries, thats all that was left to bag as I was finishing up, came around and threw the bag in the cart causing the fruits to fall out! I didn't want to upset her more than she was but this is very unfortunate that she has been rude to me twice and in an unprofessional manner I did not feed her negativity, unprofessional behavior or argue.. she was more so upset that she was wrong and had to take the Governnment issued valid paper DL. I live in between bastrop & lockhart I choose to come to lockhart because its closer and with an employee this rude I wouldn't mind driving the extra miles. I do hope HEB takes the responsibility towards her actions and she learns from this situation because this can cause a lawsuit if she upsets the wrong person.

Getto, did not have hardly any of my usual products, looked trashy, had to lock my car before going inside, driving to Kyle at the Plus, worth the extra drive.

It's hard to choose my favorite thing about this HEB. And it may seem like a small factor, but I'm in love with the music they play here! It brightens my mood while grocery shopping. Ask anyone in Lockhart and they will tell you this HEB is too small for the amount of people who shop there. But they do a really good job running it. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They offer fast grocery pick up or delivery. Parking lot leaves a lot to be desired, but the actual store is laid out nicely so you're not bumping into too many people. Always good sales and pricing.
