Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Was just here a couple hours ago to get some late night food. The drive-thru operator was very rude and unprofessional when taking our order, and we heard giggling and chatter coming through the speaker as well. We waited in the drive-thru for a bit, where there were three cars ahead of us- all backed up and waiting on their food. Two employees came out to talk to a girl in one of the cars and spent several minutes there, clearly more concerned about chatting with her than fulfilling orders. At that point, we just left without even getting our food. We were very dissatisfied with the service and didn't trust these employees to make us anything. We went to Taco Bell just down the street instead, and got our food quicker from much friendlier and more professional employees.
This location was okay before, but its' quality has gone steadily downhill over the years. This is why you don't hire teenagers to work service jobs. Won't be returning any time soon.

Quick late-night service. Jalapeno and cheese What-A-Burger tasted good.
$7.43 for a cheeseburger, is a bit pricey, though ...

I decided to stop and pick up breakfast after a 12 hour shift, plus drive back to SA, and this was a familiar place to grab a breakfast taquito. Now mind you, I will not go to this restaurant in SA because I have had too many meals ruined since this chain sold. I thought I would give them one more chance out of town. Well, I guess the culture of taking oride in one's work has disappeared. My tortilla was not cooked fully and I asked for cheese and got 1/4 of a slice placed on my sloppily made taquito. I ordered a sausage and egg taquito. NO MORE CHANCES. I work hard for my money and I'm helping you keep your job.

Burger was cold along with the cheese. Would not recommend. Overpriced and wasn’t even good while drunk. I’d rather eat wet grass than this slop
