Deceptive practice most commonly called review bombing, astroturfing, or simply buying fake reviews:
When a business floods a platform with coordinated, positive reviews to bury legitimate negative feedback and artificially inflate their ratings, it is a direct violation of platform policies and consumer protection laws.
My strongest warning about the La Porte Sonic on Spencer Hwy:
We were double charged for a $20.42 purchase. We protested the charge and we have now been charged a third time for that same meal. We have not been back to any Sonic since that day, let alone that one. We have now been charged $61.26 for 1 milkshake, a burger and 2 large drinks. I am still fighting this company over their thefts. I strongly do not recommend this place, or any Sonic. Their food is bad and they are thieves. Sonic - refund my money!!!

Sonic Corporate promised again early this week that you would take care of this refund. So far you have not done so, again! How can people believe you??????
Manager, I have frozen my card just so your Sonic cannot keep rebilling me. People beware!
Where did the Manager response posted this morning promising to take care of this as quickly as possible go? I firmly believe you never intended to handle the refund for the overcharge, you were just trying to cover up what was going on there and make people think there wasn't anything suspicious going on there so they would do business there. This is now in Fraud, and my next stop will be law enforcement.
Sonic, if you are serious about the integrity of your business brand, fire this manager for cause and replace (not transfer) everyone working at that location.
