Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I waited in line for ages while the people in front of me talked. It seemed to me that they knew each other. It was a takeout so I didn't know what I got until I was home.

Pull up to the restaurant to find that they are closed for cleaning. I knocked on the door to get someone's attention and all they did was wave me off. When I finally got a manager to talk to me, he was rather dismissive of the situation and just said I would need to call Corporate in the morning.

It's part of my ritual before I start my Sunday shift at a gaming store (shout-out to Lionheart Hobby). And usually I am helped by a Whataburger employee there named Matthew. Matt is an all-around great human being! He's very knowledgeable about the menu and always demonstrates quality customer service. He's a joy to chat with. The other employees there are good people too. The food there is consistent with what you'd expect from Whataburger, especially their fries which are served piping hot and deliciously salty. Also, their Coke Zero mix at the fountain is really good: the perfect balance of sweetness and carbonation.
