I don't often get out in Killeen, but I decided to wine and dine myself this weekend. Came to Zodiac because I liked the online ambiance and wanted to see what it was giving in real life. From the time I entered the building, the hostess was inviting. Escorted me to my seat. The ambiance was giving. It was a vibe. Music selection took me back to high school in the 99-2000s. I loved that it wasn't so loud that you couldn't hold conversation or have to yell at the waiter to give your order. Speaking of the waiter. I was blessed with Craig. Craig is a vibe all by himself. I appreciated his attentiveness. He provided great recommendations. I don't eat pork or shrimp and things along those lines so I wish there were turkey substitutes for the bacon and sausage, but I had the Zodiac Breakfast, minus the meat options and it was good. I usually don't eat much, but had to eat a majority of the food to help soak up some of the "Soul Ties" drink. I'm an infrequent libations partaker so that would've been a one and done for me, but I also got the mango mimosa. All in all, I had a great experience. I'll be back...

4 stars because there was no coffee!
We ordered the chicken and waffles and the steak and eggs, and both were delicious! My hubby reluctantly ordered the steak, but he was pleasantly surprised after taking his first bite.
We also tried all of the mimosa flavors, and the mango was definitely my favorite!
Overall, I’d give it 4 stars. Everything was delicious, and the only thing missing was a good cup of coffee!

Came for Sunday brunch and was able to come in and immediately be seated. The atmosphere was cool and the r&b music in the background was taking my wife and I down memory lane. Our server Kia was great as well. I wanted to try the lamb chops and grits but they were out when we got there at about 1:30, it happens. I went with the chicken and waffles and my wife had a seafood pasta. The chicken was the star with a good crisp, hot, fresh and seasoned well without being too salty. The waffle was unfortunately, not soft and fluffy or crispy, it was like a more tough time texture that I couldn't cut with my fork. I thought maybe it had set for a while and wasn't freshly made. The pasta was cooked well and had a good sauce where my only observation is that the sauce consistency could be just a little thinker to enhance the dish. The salmon was OK, slightly under seasoned a bit fishy. The shrimp was very underseasoned but the pasta sauce did the heavy lifting to enhance the overall dish.
The overall experience was ok with the place and vibe being very cool, with some tweaks to the food execution with all the different events they have I think this place can be a fixture in the downtown area.

One word, disappointing. We arrived on a Sunday within two hrs of them opening. They were out of yams, bacon and boudin bites. There wasn't a wait nor were they busy so I was confused about them running out of food so early. Our server, Craig tried to make the best of it though. Since the entree i wanted wasn't available I was going to get appetizers and sides. I was then told I can't get all sides. So, I had to order an entrée I didn't really want due to the rule & food shortage. Needless to say, I won't return. I can see the vision but poor execution. I do say if curious, give them a try.
