- DADavid Anderson3 days ago5.0The first time I ate at Rudy's was in November 2019. It was in Helotes Tx and I went three times in a week. The last time I had some was July 2026 in Lubbock Tx. I was very pleasantly surprised when the food was just as good if not better than I remembered. I had raved about it and on a recent trip was able to introduce my partner to it. I think she was skeptical until the first bite. Then it was fun to watch her enjoy it as much as I had and still do. The wet brisket was fall apart tender and definitely ⭐!⭐!⭐!⭐!⭐! The meat on the pork ribs also fell right off. Tender, tender and tasty!!! The magic with the cream corn was still there! The corn on the cob also top marks. I don't know what corn they buy but the kernels seemed twice as deep as all the other types. I remember thinking as I was first biting into it "where's the cob?" Juicy and sweet! The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Questions answered and conversation engaged. Outstanding staff both times at both locations. I'm planning the rest of our trip to visit as many as possible before getting home. There shirts are awesome. "We didn't climb to the top of the food chain to eat vegetables" Thank you Rudy's!
