I am writing this because I am extremely disappointed and upset about the way my husband his daughter and I were treated at your Dairy Queen tonight, August 7, 2026. We came through the drive-thru expecting a normal and pleasant experience. My husband was nothing but kind and respectful to the employees. He was being friendly and sweet, as he normally is, and yet the female employee working the drive-thru began making disrespectful comments about him while we were still at the speaker. We could hear her clearly through the microphone, and the things being said were completely unnecessary and unprofessional. My husband never gave this employee a reason to speak about him that way. He wasn’t rude. He wasn’t disrespectful. He wasn’t causing a problem. He was simply being nice. Then, when we got to the window, my husband thanked the employee for the ice cream. Another employee handed us the other item and made a nice comment as a joke” apparently . My husband responded, “Thank you, you too,” in the same lighthearted spirit. Instead of simply letting the interaction end, he received another disrespectful comment from the employee. At that point, it became very clear to us that the way my husband was being treated was intentional and completely unnecessary. I understand that customer service can be stressful. I understand employees joke around with each other. But there is a major difference between joking with coworkers and openly talking disrespectfully about a customer while that customer can actually hear you. There is also a difference between having a bad day and choosing to treat someone poorly for absolutely no reason. My husband was being kind to this woman, and in return she chose to disrespect him. That is something I am not going to ignore. I want to be very clear about something: if my husband and I return to this Dairy Queen and this particular employee is there, I will personally address the disrespect with her. I am not going to pretend the incident never happened or allow someone to disrespect my husband in front of me and then simply continue coming back as if everything is fine. I will speak to her directly and about what happened and make it very clear that the way she treated him was unacceptable. I am not looking to cause a scene, threaten anyone, or create a problem. I am simply saying that if I see her again, I will not be afraid to stand up for my husband and directly address the way he was treated. Customers should be able to come into your establishment, be kind to your employees, receive their order, and leave without being mocked or disrespected. Basic respect goes both ways. I hope management takes this complaint seriously, identifies the employees who were working during this interaction, and addresses the situation appropriately. I would appreciate someone from management following up regarding this incident because this was not the type of customer service I would expect from Dairy Queen. We were not asking for special treatment. We were asking for the same basic respect that we were giving the employees.

The customer service was horrible and both of the end of the day workers were being rude and giving attitude. They were also very dirty, and said that they didn’t feel like cleaning anything and was gonna half fast cleaning everything because they didn’t like their jobs and hated their managers.

I will never again go to Dairy Queen for anything, especially ice cream!! Ordered 4 hot fudge sundaes with extra fudge and basically got 4 cos of ice cream with barely any fudge in any of them. Not the first time but certainly will be the last. Better off going to the store and making your own.
