Had my order delivered and was still hot. Mississippi catfish, fries and mac n cheese. Was a lot of portions. Did not expect that much food. Loved it. Next time I'll try the shrimp. This is my go to place now for catfish. Absolutely good food

I’m disappointed to be writing this because my first three experiences at Tejun were wonderful. I had eaten inside once and used the drive-thru twice during lunch, and each time the food and service were great. Unfortunately, my last two experiences have been so poor that I don’t see myself returning. On July 28, we stopped in for lunch around 12:30 p.m. on a weekday. There were only two people working in the kitchen, several people waiting for food, and a few people in line. The employee taking orders was also responsible for handing food to dine-in customers, and going into the kitche to plate orders. We waited more than 20 minutes in line. While we were waiting, an elderly gentleman approached us and said he had been waiting more than 30 minutes and wanted to make sure his order hadn’t been lost. At that point, we decided to leave. I understand that restaurants can have an occasional bad day, so I was willing to give it another try. Unfortunately, today, August 13, was even more frustrating. I entered the drive-thru at 1:58 p.m. and waited approximately three minutes before anyone came to take my order. I ordered based on the drive thru specials and prices still clearly displayed on the drive-thru menu board. When I heard the total of $18.50 on the $13.99 order, I questioned the prices. I was told that they are waiting stickers, but I know from provious visits that the listed prices are incorrect by several dollars. When I asked if I could simply get the lunch special without the drink, I was told that the computers reset at 2:00 p.m., so I could not get that either. What makes this especially frustrating is that I actually like this restaurant and genuinely enjoy the food. I’m not someone who expects perfection, and I understand that staffing issues and occasional mistakes happen. But having two consecutive experiences where the service was this poor is enough for me to stop frequenting a restaurant, regardless of how much I enjoy the food. I hope management takes a serious look at the staffing, service, and outdated menu pricing because this is a place I would have happily continued supporting. It’s unfortunate that the last two visits have changed my perception so significantly.

Another new place to check off the list and it happened to be in the city I grew up in. First impressions were it was big with an outdoor playground and patio overlooking the pond, which was very nice. The interior was spacious with one glaring miscalculation, they put the place everyone gets their drinks next to the front door and the front counter. Needless to say huge bottle neck in that area which was the reason it took forever to get your initial drink and subsequent refills. Bad design. Now to the food. I ordered the Te'Jun trio which included fried fish, gator, and shrimp with hush puppies and fries. It wasn't amazing, it wasn't horrible. Above average is an appropriate description. The tartar sauce was amazing but you can't just eat tartar sauce can you? Will I be back? Probably not just because I don't enjoy my whole meal being fried in oil. If you do, by all means I recommend trying this place. Extra points for all the Bible verses displayed throughout the restaurant. God bless kdub out.

Great atmosphere, employees always have a positive attitude and smiles on their faces. We got the fried Mississippi, large catfish. Catfish filets x with fries and 4 hush puppies It's my personal favorite. Food is fresh and cooked by order. Tables are always prepped and ready for shellfish. They even have bible scriptures burned into the tables, love that!

We’ve always enjoyed eating here. The restaurant is clean, spacious, and has a great atmosphere, and we’ve had several good meals here over the years. Our last visit was disappointing. Our food took much longer than usual to come out. I ordered the blackened fish, and instead of being flaky and tender, it was so firm I needed a knife to cut it. It seemed overcooked and wasn’t nearly as good as it’s been in the past. My wife ordered the shrimp platter, and the portion was noticeably smaller than we’re used to. It felt pretty skimpy. We’re hoping it was just an off day because this has been one of our go to spots. We’ll definitely give it another chance.
