  Great spot for authentic Uyghur food in Katy. The hand-pulled noodles were fresh and flavorful, and the kebabs were tender and well-seasoned. Portions are generous and everything tasted very fresh. Friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere made the experience even better. Definitely a place worth returning to if you’re looking for something different and delicious.

  Amazing Experience at Turan Uyghur Kitchen in Katy! We visited the Katy location of Turan Uyghur Kitchen for the first time last night (a group of 4 adults + kids). We’ve been to their Chinatown location before, but this Katy branch completely blew us away! The restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive. She took the time to understand our preferences and gave excellent recommendations — every single dish she suggested was a hit! • The lamb kebabs were incredibly tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The flavor was unique and much better than typical barbecue places. We all loved them! • We tried M10 and M6 — both were delicious. M10 (the stir-fried one) was especially flavorful and well-seasoned. • We originally wanted P6, but the waitress recommended P9 Small Plate Premium Chicken instead. Best decision ever! The chicken, potatoes, and flat noodles were all so tender and packed with flavor. • Our picky kids were surprised to find Sesame Chicken, and they loved it too! She also recommended their red tea. I was a bit hesitant because I’m sensitive to caffeine in the evening, but she reassured me it wasn’t too strong. We tried it and it was fantastic — it had a wonderful milky aroma but tasted like a smooth, refreshing black tea. Everyone enjoyed it. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere exceeded our expectations. This Katy location is a hidden gem! Highly recommend to anyone craving authentic and delicious Uyghur cuisine.

  This place has a warm, inviting atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff, which makes you feel welcome as you walk in. The service can be a bit slow during busy times, but the server was polite and helpful. The menu has a solid mix of familiar favorites and a few ambitious options. The starter bread meat was crisp and well dressed, while the main courses showed potential but didn’t quite hit the mark. One dish was a touch dry and under-seasoned and not sure of the noddles , while another had decent pasta style noddles but lacked a bold flavor profile that would elevate it. Sides felt good for the price, but not taste was there which was a little disappointing. Prices are reasonable for the area, but taste and presentation don’t always feel proportional for charges. Drinks were well-balanced and enjoyable, which helped offset some of the dining hiccups. Overall, it’s a decent option for a casual eating and buffet option I’d consider returning if the kitchen tweaks seasoning and pacing, and if I’m in the mood for a low-pressure meal with a cozy vibe. It’s not memorable, but it isn’t a bad backup choice either.

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had such a great experience at Turan Uyghur Kitchen! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. We ordered the Korma Chop, chicken fried rice, and lamb dumplings — every dish was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The lamb dumplings were especially amazing! The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service made us feel right at home. We will definitely be coming back to try the buffet next time because if the regular menu was this good, I can only imagine how great the buffet will be. If you’re looking to try something different and authentic, definitely come check them out. Highly recommend supporting this new restaurant!

  Very good food. Poor service. The waiter/front of house man was very polite, however the service was awkward and he didn't get our order correct. We traveled over an hour for my son's 21 birthday. You decide if I'm overreacting: he brought the menus and gave me the first one. I handed it to my wife. He handed out the rest of the menus (there were 5 of us) and didn't notice I gave the menu to my wife and I didn't have one anymore. So in short, I didn't get a menu. Ladies first? We ordered, my wife asked for no onions, he acknowledged no problem. The food came with onions. The food came out one at a time, leaving everyone waiting to eat...together. Not a huge issue, however we waited and waited for my order. I ended up going and finding the waiter to ask where my food was. He went in the kitchen and brought it right out. Apparently it was ready and he forgot about it. My son ordered specialty Uyghur tea and received regular tea. We didn't get any silverware to eat so we had to ask the waiter. He didn't check on how to meal was. He was very friendly, but terrible as a waiter. On the way out he made small talk with my wife and daughters. Don't do that. Recap- food was great. Service was terrible.
