We come here often and we always have a great time. Today our waitress was Abby, she was very friendly recommended a new drink which was really good. Was very attentive, her vibe was just what you want on a Saturday morning…. It’s Always fast, clean, food always tastes great and it’s just a very nice atmosphere. Way to go Abby!!

Toasted Yolk Cafe was a wonderful experience! My family came in from North Carolina for my niece’s wedding, and a few of us got together for breakfast. It was our first time visiting, and everyone truly enjoyed both the food and the service.
Our waitress, Abby, was absolutely top tier! She welcomed us with a beautiful smile and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Her service was warm, friendly, and attentive throughout our visit. Abby truly made our dining experience even more enjoyable, and we would definitely ask for her again.
We wish Abby continued blessings and highly recommend this place. Be sure to ask for Abby! 😍❤️
Today, Thursday May 14, 2026, I arrived at this restaurant at 11:32 AM to pick up a Grubhub order, and I didn’t receive it until 12:02 PM — a full 30-minute wait on a weekday when the restaurant was not even busy.
When I first arrived, the woman at the bar area (where drivers pick up orders) asked for the customer’s name and immediately said the order was being prepared without even checking the system. Later, another employee, a dark-skinned gentleman, even looked at my app and again told me they were making the order. I continued waiting and kept getting up to ask for updates.
Finally, another employee at the bar actually checked the computer and said they didn’t even have the order in their system and asked me to show my app because they were only just starting to make it.
As a delivery driver, time matters. Making drivers wait 30 minutes because employees are not paying attention or properly checking orders is unacceptable, especially when the restaurant is not busy. If you are a driver, think twice before accepting orders from this place because the wait times are ridiculous and the staff does not seem organized.
I’ve been coming to The Toasted Yolk regularly with my mother for a long time, and we’ve always had great experiences which is why today was so disappointing.
We usually sit at a booth, even when it’s just the two of us, and we never mind waiting for one to become available. Today I decided to bring a friend with me, and instead of being greeted by a host, the general manager greeted us with, “What are we doing, how many?” No hello, no welcome, nothing.
He then walked us to the smallest, most crowded table possible, squeezed between two other occupied tables. I politely asked if we could wait for a booth instead and explained that we didn’t mind waiting. He immediately looked annoyed and told us the booths were “for four people,” even though there were clearly multiple booths occupied by only two people.
I told him that in that case we would just leave because I had never been treated that way there before despite being a regular customer. His response was simply, “Okay then go.”
I went back inside just to ask for his name because the interaction was so unnecessarily rude. With a smirk he replied, “Charles. I’m the general manager,” as if that somehow excused the attitude and disrespect.
We ended up going to the Richmond location instead and were seated in a booth immediately with no issue at all.
Everyone can have a bad day, but if you work in the service industry, especially as a general manager basic courtesy and professionalism toward loyal customers should still matter.
The service was beyond excellent! From the moment we walked through the door, Allen greeted us with superior hospitality and made us feel truly welcomed. Our waitress, Yaya, provided exceptional service with a warm smile and great attention to detail. The food came out hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. To top it all off, Manager Charles went above and beyond to make sure we had great seating and an outstanding dining experience.
Overall, the service was beyond a 10! Thank you all for making our visit so memorable. We will definitely be back! When we are back in town.
