  Great takeout for a family — we fed everyone and nobody complained. Ordered a spread to go and it held up beautifully on the drive home, which matters when you're trying to get dinner on the table with kids waiting. For the kids, the crispy corn was the winner crunchy, well seasoned, mild enough for them, and it disappeared before the adults got a real shot at it. The naan was soft and still warm and perfect. The chicken pulav was fragrant, tender, not spicy, and a generous portion. For the grown-ups, the vellulli chicken was the standout. The shrimp vepudu was cooked right, with good char and spice. The dhaba-style veg curry was a genuine surprise — rich and properly spiced. What I appreciated most is that one order covered everybody. The kids had things they actually wanted to eat, the adults got real flavor. Order was packed carefully and ready on time. Easy recommendation for families. We'll be doing this again.

  We had lunch at Spice Mantra yesterday and were so impressed! It’s under new management, and this was probably the best Indian food we’ve had. The Veg Korma was incredible—creamy and savory with just a touch of sweetness and such rich, gourmet flavors. It was filled with peas, cauliflower, sweet potatoes, and other vegetables and was absolutely delicious. We also tried the Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala. The chicken in both dishes was incredibly tender and juicy, with the perfect amount of spice—flavorful without being overly spicy. Even the sides stood out. The white rice was so light and fluffy, and the garlic naan was thin and crispy with tons of garlic and buttery flavor. So good! What really completed the experience was the service. Everyone was incredibly warm, welcoming, and personal, and we genuinely felt taken care of. We’re so happy to have found this place so close to home. Spice Mantra will definitely be a staple for us. We can’t wait to go back!

  Went here with a friend and we ended up sharing four dishes. All of them were good. The vellulli chicken was the highlight for me. Lots of garlic, but it doesn't overpower the chicken. Would order it again tomorrow. Hyderabadi chicken wings had a nice kick, and the masala actually had flavor, not just heat. Meat was juicy too. Chicken pulav was really flavorful. The rice was seasoned all the way through and the chicken was tender. Good portion, proper comfort food. Crispy corn was crunchy and well seasoned. Didn't last long on the table. Spice level was spot on and everything tasted fresh. Nice find in Cinco Ranch, we'll definitely be back.

  We came the first time for the mandi and have been back for most of the rest of the menu since. Mutton mandi is what I'd order if I only got one thing — it's slow-cooked properly, the meat gives way without any effort, and the rice underneath is the best part. Chicken mandi is the lighter version and just as carefully done. What surprised me was how strong the curries are. The Telangana mutton curry has that dark, built-up gravy you don't get from a kitchen taking shortcuts, and the chicken version follows the same line. With raagi mudde alongside, it's the closest thing to home cooking I've found around here. Vegetarians aren't an afterthought either — the paneer pulav stands on its own. Pachimirchi pulav for anyone who wants real heat. Chicken 65, tandoori, and the naan round it out and never disappoint.

  Went out with a group of friends to try this place under the new management, and I'm glad we did. The juicy mutton mandi was the reason we came and it did not disappoint — authentic, beautifully spiced, and the kind of dish that makes the table go quiet for a minute. You can tell it's being made properly, not just approximated. The kids were completely won over by the jalapeño chicken and the crispy corn. Both had just enough kick to be interesting without being too much for them, and those two plates disappeared faster than anything else we ordered. Good food, good portions, and a nice spot for a group. We'll be back — and I'll be bringing more people with me.
