  I had a terrible experience with the customer service at the floral/balloon department today with the lady with the glasses. I brought in my own 32-inch number balloon just for a helium fill. The employee initially tried to charge me an astronomical and ridiculous price of $12.95 for a single balloon. When I corrected her about the actual size, she completely shifted her story and started making up excuses on the spot, saying, 'Well, we don't go by the size number anymore, we just charge a flat rate for the balloon.' It was a very obvious, dishonest excuse just to stick to that overpriced fee. Charging $13 just for a couple of seconds of helium is pure price-gouging, especially when other stores charge a fraction of that or do it for free. The lack of pricing transparency and the employee's poor attitude were highly unprofessional. I walked out without getting the service and will definitely not be returning to this location for ever.

  If I could give this HEB zero stars I absolutely would. This location reminds me of being trapped in a filthy, dark, foul smelling dungeon. Everything is so outdated and old, the produce is ALWAYS ROTTING. Strawberries are always moldy, no matter the time of the year, cantaloupe is soggy, I literally bought a cup of pomegranate seeds and they WERE FERMENTED. The “fresh salmon” they sell is something I’ve also had to return on MULTIPLE occasions. The sushi which is a favorite of mine at HEB is so disgusting and disappointing at this location. The rice tastes like it’s been sitting out, it’s crunchy and the fish is so inconsistently cut and tastes rotten. Nothing here tastes fresh or good, not a single thing. Not to mention this location has the rudest staff I’ve ever encountered. They constantly talk amongst themselves and when you need help or have a question (god forbid) they act like you just interrupted their personal conversation and inconvenienced them at their JOB. Do not bother coming to this shit hole, there are so many other nicer, newer locations to spend your money at instead.

  Extremely disappointed and concerned about food safety! I bought a Flaming Bird roasted/grilled chicken from H-E-B, and I was shocked by its quality. The leg part was completely raw, tough, and impossible to cut or pull apart. It was entirely undercooked and unsafe to eat. It is very surprising and unacceptable for a reputable store like H-E-B to allow such a product to be sold to customers. This is a serious health and food safety hazard. How does this pass quality control? Doesn't the health department inspect these standards? I expected much better quality assurance from H-E-B.
