- JMJulio MedinaAug 5, 20265.0H-E-B… enough said. As someone who’s lived all over the country during 21 years of military service, I’ve shopped in just about every grocery chain there is. Nothing comes close to H-E-B. The stores are always clean, well-stocked, and organized. The employees actually seem happy to be there and go out of their way to help. The quality of the meat, produce, bakery, and ready-to-eat meals is outstanding, and the prices are hard to beat. Every time I’m in Texas, stopping at H-E-B is honestly part of the trip. It’s more than a grocery store, it’s a Texas institution. Florida has Publix, and Publix is great… but H-E-B is in a league of its own. #1, hands down. 6:30.
- DDDaniAug 4, 20262.0I like this HEB and I always go here. But lately, the bagging of the groceries has been awful. Before I took my own bags, the people that bag the groceries, they don't care.. they just throw the groceries and don't care if the fruit or the vegetables get squished by the other products. They put the cold products with the pantry products and everything is wet. They have a bad attitude when I ask kindly to put the cold stuff in paper bags. Now that I take my own bags, they make an annoyed face and bad attitude when I ask to put my groceries in a certain bag or when I help put the groceries in my bags. I just wish that I can pack my own groceries and not be limited to under 25 products. Hopefully they can improve that soon.
