Amazing service from Vimala! She was incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming, and served us with a great smile throughout our meal. She regularly checked on us and asked if we needed anything, making sure we were comfortable and had everything we wanted. Her attentiveness and positive attitude made our dining experience at Simply South even better. Excellent hospitality and outstanding customer service. Thank you, Vimala! We would definitely love to be served by her again.
I had been visiting this restaurant often but lately the standard and quality of the food is getting worst. I visited this restaurant yesterday with my friend and his family. We ordered quite a few dishes out of which masala dosa and the veg biryani came cold. Wasn’t warm and the worst part is the manager, named SAI. My friend knew him and he went to greet him but he showed so bad attitude to my friend and ignored him. It was so embarrassing for my friend in front on me and his family. I think the healthy guy has got lot of attitude and If this continues, it won’t take time for the restaurant to lose customers. There are lots of other better restaurants in its vicinity. The manager should improve his behaviour.
Been here multiple times , they don’t go beyond and above to try and add new items in Jain food . Still surprised other restaurants they have accommodated Jain sambar . But not this SS . If I go to BB or any pure vegetarian restaurant , they will try to make possible items like veg Hakka noodles , or fried rice and some appetizers too. But not this . Even they struggle to make a Jain uttampam ( without onion garlic ) we have a big community here , and support all vegetarian restaurants. So looking forward to this
I have mixed feelings about this place. It was very busy, which is usually a good sign, but unfortunately, the service really suffered because of it.
We enjoyed the Mysore Masala Dosa, and the Paneer Tikka Masala was really good. However, they completely forgot one of our orders, and we had to remind them three times before finally getting the Paneer Achari Dosa.
We would have been fine with the wait if it had been worth it, but unfortunately, the dosa was quite salty and a little burnt.
Overall, some of the food was really good, but the service and our experience with the forgotten order definitely took away from the meal.
The food here is great and very authentic, but unfortunately the service really let us down this time.
We were a table of six and even simple requests seemed to be an inconvenience. Asking for ice or iced water got a reaction like we were asking for something completely unreasonable. We also asked for two bottles of water for the table and somehow even that seemed like too much to ask.
Throughout dinner, our server just wasn’t very attentive. Empty plates kept piling up on the table and no one came by to clear them. There was very little checking in on us in general. For a restaurant with food this good, you expect the service to at least be attentive and welcoming specially when you have a toddler with you.
What made the experience even more frustrating was that after receiving such poor service, an 18% gratuity was automatically added to our bill without giving me the option to decide the tip myself. I understand some restaurants automatically add gratuity for larger parties, but given the level of service we received, having 18% added without any choice left an especially bad taste.
What makes this more disappointing is that we’ve eaten here a few times before and had really great experiences. We came back because we genuinely liked the restaurant, but this visit was completely different.
Unfortunately, after this experience, I don’t think we’ll be coming back. Great food, but the service really needs to improve.
